河南林业职业学院位于千年帝都、牡丹花城洛阳市，是省属公办全日制高等职业院校。创建于1951年4月，是全国兴办最早的五所林校之一。建校初期称河南省洛阳农林中等技术学校，历经多次更名与发展，2013年4月经河南省人民政府批准、教育部备案，独立设置为专科层次的河南林业职业学院，2024年11月河南省洛阳经济学校整体并入。学校归属河南省教育厅管理，是河南省唯一的一所林业类高等职业院校，被誉为“河南林业人才的摇篮”。

Henan Forestry Vocational College is located in Luoyang, the ancient capital with a thousand-year history and the city of peonies. It is a public full-time higher vocational college under the provincial government. Founded in April 1951, it is one of the five earliest forestry schools established in China. Initially named Henan Luoyang Agricultural and Forestry Secondary Technical School, it has undergone several name changes and developments. In April 2013, with the approval of the Henan Provincial People's Government and the recordation of the Ministry of Education, it was independently established as Henan Forestry Vocational College at the junior college level. In November 2024, Luoyang Economic School of Henan Province was fully merged into it. Affiliated to the Henan Provincial Department of Education, it is the only forestry higher vocational college in Henan Province and is known as "the cradle of Henan forestry talents".

学校现有中州、黄梅、建春门和三川四个校区，校园占地面积700亩，建筑面积30余万平方米，图书馆馆藏图书、期刊101万册。设有14个二级院部和中专部，开设专科专业48个，其中河南省职业教育示范性专业点3个，园林技术专业群为河南省高水平专业群。建有5个省级工程技术研究中心、2个河南省林业重点实验室及各类实验实训室181个，在校生1.5万人。教职工690人，其中专任教师534人，双师型教师298人，拥有河南省职教专家、学术技术带头人等各类高层次人才多人。

The college currently has four campuses: Zhongzhou, Huangmei, Jianchunmen and Sanchuan, covering an area of 700 mu with a building area of more than 300,000 square meters. The library has a collection of 1.01 million books and periodicals. It has 14 secondary colleges and a secondary technical department, offering 48 junior college majors, including 3 demonstration professional sites of vocational education in Henan Province, and the garden technology professional group is a high-level professional group in Henan Province. It has 5 provincial engineering technology research centers, 2 key laboratories of forestry in Henan Province and 181 various experimental training rooms, with 15,000 students. There are 690 faculty members, including 534 full-time teachers and 298 double-qualified teachers, and many high-level talents such as vocational education experts and academic and technical leaders in Henan Province.
