淮南师范学院是安徽省属全日制普通高等本科院校，前身为始建于1958年的淮南师范专科学校。2000年，经教育部批准，原淮南师范专科学校、淮南教育学院、淮南师范学校三校合并组建为本科层次的淮南师范学院。学校秉持“明德至善、博学笃行”的校训，以“立德树人、知行合一、学以致用”为办学理念，着力培养高素质应用型人才。

Huainan Normal University is a full-time public undergraduate institution affiliated to Anhui Province, formerly known as Huainan Teachers College founded in 1958. In 2000, with the approval of the Ministry of Education, the former Huainan Teachers College, Huainan Institute of Education, and Huainan Normal School merged to form Huainan Normal University at the undergraduate level. Adhering to the school motto of "Virtue, Perfection, Erudition, and Practice" and the educational philosophy of "Establishing Morality, Integrating Knowledge and Action, and Applying What is Learned", the university strives to cultivate high-quality applied talents.

学校现有2个校区，占地77.8万平方米，建筑总面积62万平方米，教科研仪器设备总值2.6亿元，馆藏图书229万册。设有15个二级学院，55个本科专业，涵盖教育学、文学、理学、工学、经济学、管理学等九大学科门类，现有普通全日制在校生2万余人。拥有1个国家级一流本科专业建设点、16个省级一流本科专业建设点，9个师范专业和11个非师范专业实现第一批次招生。

The university has 2 campuses covering an area of 778,000 square meters with a total building area of 620,000 square meters. The total value of teaching and research instruments and equipment is 260 million yuan, and the library has 2.29 million books. It has 15 secondary colleges and 55 undergraduate majors, covering nine disciplines including education, literature, science, engineering, economics, and management, with more than 20,000 full-time undergraduates. It has 1 national first-class undergraduate major construction site, 16 provincial first-class undergraduate major construction sites, and 9 teacher education majors and 11 non-teacher education majors enrolled in the first batch.

学校师资力量雄厚，现有在职教职工1300余人，专任教师1004人，其中高级职称330人，博士硕士学位919人。近年来在全国性学科竞赛中屡获佳绩，包括“创青春”全国大学生创业大赛金奖、全国大学生数学建模竞赛一等奖等。与美国、英国、澳大利亚等国及中国台湾、香港地区的高校建立了校际交流关系，积极开展国际化教育合作。

The university boasts a strong faculty, with over 1,300 in-service staff and 1,004 full-time teachers, including 330 with senior titles and 919 with doctoral or master's degrees. In recent years, it has achieved remarkable results in national discipline competitions, such as the gold medal in the "Chuangqingchun" National College Students' Entrepreneurship Competition and the first prize in the National College Students' Mathematical Modeling Competition. It has established inter-university exchange relations with universities in the United States, the United Kingdom, Australia, as well as Taiwan and Hong Kong regions of China, actively carrying out international educational cooperation.
