海南软件职业技术学院坐落在博鳌亚洲论坛永久会址所在地、红色娘子军的故乡、中国优秀旅游城市、海南省东部中心城市——海南省琼海市市中心。学校前身溯源于明万历三十二年（1604年）创办的正蒙清馆，历经多阶段办学历程，2003年3月经海南省人民政府批准设立，教育部备案，升格为公办全日制高等职业院校，主要培养信息、软件行业高素质技术技能人才。

Hainan College of Software Technology is located in the downtown area of Qionghai City, Hainan Province, which is the permanent site of the Boao Forum for Asia, the hometown of the Red Detachment of Women, an excellent tourist city in China, and the central city in eastern Hainan. The predecessor of the school can be traced back to Zhengmeng Qingguan founded in 1604 (the 32nd year of Wanli in the Ming Dynasty). After multiple stages of school-running history, it was approved by the People's Government of Hainan Province in March 2003, filed by the Ministry of Education, and upgraded to a public full-time higher vocational college, mainly cultivating high-quality technical and skilled talents in the information and software industries.

学校是全国文明单位、全国文明校园、教育部第二批现代学徒制试点单位、海南省优质高等职业院校。设有马克思主义学院、计算机与人工智能学院等9个学院，形成以电子信息大类为主，艺术设计、财经旅游等多类为辅的专业布局，现有国家级现代学徒制试点专业2个，省级特色专业5个，校内外实验实训室（实践基地）185个，与华为、阿里巴巴等企业合作创建产业学院。

The school is a National Civilized Unit, National Civilized Campus, the second batch of modern apprenticeship pilot units of the Ministry of Education, and a high-quality higher vocational college in Hainan Province. It has 9 colleges including the School of Marxism and the School of Computer and Artificial Intelligence, forming a professional layout dominated by electronic information categories and supplemented by art design, finance and economics, tourism and other categories. There are 2 national-level modern apprenticeship pilot majors, 5 provincial-level characteristic majors, 185 on-campus and off-campus experimental training rooms (practice bases), and industry colleges co-founded with enterprises such as Huawei and Alibaba.

学校现有来自全国26个省（自治区、直辖市）在校生近万人，教职工547人，其中高级职称教师119人，硕士及以上学位专任教师277人。获国家教学成果二等奖1项，全国职业院校技能大赛奖项多项，主持厅级以上科研教改项目251项，出版著作、教材216部，被SCI、EI等收录论文230篇，为海南自由贸易港建设培养了大批技术技能人才。

The school currently has nearly 10,000 students from 26 provinces (autonomous regions and municipalities directly under the Central Government) across the country and 547 faculty members, including 119 teachers with senior titles and 277 full-time teachers with master's degrees or above. It has won 1 second prize of National Teaching Achievements, multiple awards in national vocational college skills competitions, presided over 251 scientific research and teaching reform projects at or above the department level, published 216 works and teaching materials, and 230 papers included in SCI, EI, etc., cultivating a large number of technical and skilled talents for the construction of Hainan Free Trade Port.
