湖南现代物流职业技术学院创建于1965年，前身为湖南省物资学校，2005年与原湖南省石油化工职工大学合并升格为公办全日制普通高等院校。学校是全国唯一一所以现代物流为主导专业的高职院校，隶属于湖南省教育厅，是湖南省楚怡高水平高职学校建设计划A档单位、湖南省人民政府与中国物流与采购联合会共建院校，荣获教育部人才培养工作水平评估优秀院校、湖南省示范性高职学院等称号。

Hunan Vocational College of Modern Logistics was founded in 1965, formerly known as Hunan Materials School. It was upgraded to a public full-time ordinary higher education institution in 2005 through the merger with the former Hunan Petrochemical Workers' University. As the only higher vocational college in China with modern logistics as its leading major, it is affiliated to Hunan Provincial Department of Education. The college is listed as Grade A unit in Hunan Chuyi High-level Vocational School Construction Plan, a co-constructed institution by Hunan Provincial People's Government and China Federation of Logistics and Purchasing, and has been awarded titles such as "Excellent Institution" in the talent training level evaluation by the Ministry of Education and "Hunan Provincial Demonstrative Higher Vocational College".

学校位于长沙市远大二路泉塘，毗邻国家级经济技术开发区，现有教师近400人，在校学生规模8000余人。设有物流管理学院、物流工程学院等7个二级学院，开设物流管理、物流工程技术等28个专业，形成覆盖物流全产业链的专业群体系。其中物流管理为省级示范性特色专业，物流信息技术、物流工程技术为中央财政支持重点建设专业，拥有国家级职业教育教师教学创新团队、国家级示范性职业教育集团等多个国家级平台。

Located in Quantang, Yuanda 2nd Road, Changsha City, adjacent to the national economic and technological development zone, the college has nearly 400 teachers and over 8,000 students. It comprises 7 secondary colleges including School of Logistics Management and School of Logistics Engineering, offering 28 majors such as Logistics Management and Logistics Engineering Technology, forming a professional group system covering the entire logistics industry chain. Among them, Logistics Management is a provincial demonstration characteristic major, while Logistics Information Technology and Logistics Engineering Technology are key construction majors supported by central finance. The college also boasts multiple national-level platforms including national vocational education teacher teaching innovation team and national demonstration vocational education group.

学校深化产教融合，与国防科技大学等共建湖南省物联网感知技术与应用工程研究中心，承担多项国家级、省级科研课题，连续6年获评"湖南省就业工作先进单位"。近年来荣获国家级课程思政示范课程、全国物流职业教育教学指导委员会第一副主任单位等荣誉，为现代物流产业培养了大批高素质技术技能人才。

The college deepens industry-education integration, jointly establishing Hunan Internet of Things Perception Technology and Application Engineering Research Center with National University of Defense Technology, and undertaking numerous national and provincial scientific research projects. It has been awarded "Advanced Unit for Employment Work in Hunan Province" for six consecutive years. In recent years, it has won honors such as National Curriculum Ideological and Political Demonstration Course and the first vice chairman unit of National Logistics Vocational Education Teaching Steering Committee, cultivating a large number of high-quality technical and skilled talents for the modern logistics industry.
