湖北幼儿师范高等专科学校是国家教育部批准独立设置、湖北省人民政府主办、湖北省教育厅直属的全日制高等专科学校，是湖北省唯一一所专门培养幼教人才的师范类院校，连续多年被评为省级文明单位（校园）。湖北省幼儿教师培训中心挂靠学校，实行一套班子、两块牌子。学校现有武汉新城校区、汤逊湖校区两个校区和一个附属幼儿园，总占地面积近600亩，在校生10000余人。

Hubei Preschool Teachers College is a full-time higher vocational college approved by the Ministry of Education, sponsored by the People's Government of Hubei Province, and directly under the Hubei Provincial Department of Education. It is the only normal college in Hubei Province specializing in cultivating preschool education talents and has been rated as a provincial civilized unit (campus) for many consecutive years. The Hubei Provincial Preschool Teachers Training Center is affiliated to the college, operating under a single leadership with two nameplates. The college currently has two campuses (Wuhan New City Campus and Tangxunhu Campus) and an affiliated kindergarten, covering a total area of nearly 600 mu, with more than 10,000 students.

学校历史文化底蕴深厚，附属幼儿园——湖北省实验幼儿园溯源于清末湖广总督张之洞1903年倡导创办的湖北幼稚园，是中国历史上第一所公立幼儿园，被誉为“百年幼教基石”。学校前身湖北省实验幼儿师范学校始建于1951年，是新中国第一所公办幼儿师范学校，开创了全国幼儿师范教育的新纪元。学校以“劲韧持恒、勤朴拓新、仁爱尚美、励志笃行”为校训，形成了鲜明的办学特色，以学前教育专业为引领，构建了师范教育与非师范教育协同发展的专业体系，培养了大批高素质幼教人才。

The college boasts profound historical and cultural heritage. Its affiliated kindergarten, Hubei Experimental Kindergarten, traces its origins to Hubei Kindergarten founded in 1903 under the advocacy of Zhang Zhidong, the governor of Huguang in the late Qing Dynasty. It is the first public kindergarten in Chinese history and known as the "cornerstone of a century of preschool education". The predecessor of the college, Hubei Experimental Preschool Teachers School, was founded in 1951 as the first public preschool teachers school in New China, pioneering the new era of national preschool teacher education. With the school motto of "Perseverance, Diligence and Simplicity, Benevolence and Aesthetics, Aspiration and Practice", the college has formed distinctive school-running characteristics, led by the preschool education major, and built a professional system of coordinated development of normal education and non-normal education, cultivating a large number of high-quality preschool education talents.
