衡阳幼儿师范高等专科学校是湖南省人民政府批准、教育部备案、衡阳市人民政府举办的全日制普通高校，由耒阳师范学校、衡阳市艺术学校、衡阳幼儿师范学校合并升格而成。原耒阳师范创办于1958年，被誉为“湘南中师教育的领头雁”；原衡阳市艺术学校创办于1960年，素有“湘南艺术家的摇篮”之称；原衡阳幼师创建于1980年，是全省最早开办学前教育专业的学校之一，享有“北有长沙师范、南有衡阳幼师”的美誉。

Hengyang Preschool Normal College is a full-time public college approved by the People's Government of Hunan Province, registered by the Ministry of Education, and sponsored by the Hengyang Municipal People's Government. It was upgraded by merging Leiyang Normal School, Hengyang Art School, and Hengyang Preschool Normal School. The former Leiyang Normal School, founded in 1958, is known as "the leader of normal education in southern Hunan"; the former Hengyang Art School, founded in 1960, is known as "the cradle of artists in southern Hunan"; the former Hengyang Preschool Normal School, founded in 1980, is one of the earliest schools in the province to offer preschool education major, enjoying the reputation of "Changsha Normal in the north and Hengyang Preschool Normal in the south".

学校坐落于衡阳市雁峰区，占地面积746.5亩，现有在编教职工451人，其中专任教师418人，教授8人，副教授125人，研究生及以上学历教师135人。开设学前教育、小学教育、音乐教育、美术教育等18个专业，全日制在校学生万余人。学校是全国教育科研先进集体、全国文化工作先进集体、湖南省文明标兵校园，秉承“为师为范 开若牡丹”的校训，致力于培养服务“一老一小”领域的高素质技术技能型人才。

The school is located in Yanfeng District, Hengyang City, covering an area of 746.5 mu. It has 451 in-service faculty members, including 418 full-time teachers, 8 professors, 125 associate professors, and 135 teachers with graduate degrees or above. It offers 18 majors such as preschool education, primary education, music education, and art education, with more than 10,000 full-time students. The school is an Advanced Collective of National Educational Research, an Advanced Collective of National Cultural Work, and a Model Civilized Campus of Hunan Province. Adhering to the school motto of "Being a Teacher and a Model, Blooming like a Peony", it is committed to cultivating high-quality technical and skilled talents serving the "elderly and children" field.
