杭州师范大学是浙江省重点建设高校，坐落于历史文化名城杭州。学校前身是创建于1908年的浙江官立两级师范学堂，历经百年发展，现已成为一所以教师教育为特色，文理基础坚实，艺术、医学等学科协调发展的综合性大学。学校拥有仓前、玉皇山、下沙三个校区，占地面积近1500亩，全日制在校生2万余人，教职工2500余人，其中高级职称教师占比超过50%。

Hangzhou Normal University is a key construction university in Zhejiang Province, located in the historical and cultural city of Hangzhou. The predecessor of the university was Zhejiang Official Two-level Normal School founded in 1908. After a century of development, it has now become a comprehensive university with teacher education as its characteristic, solid foundation in arts and sciences, and coordinated development of disciplines such as art and medicine. The university has three campuses: Cangqian, Yuhuangshan and Xiasha, covering an area of nearly 1,500 mu, with more than 20,000 full-time students and more than 2,500 faculty members, of which senior professional title teachers account for more than 50%.

学校学科特色鲜明，拥有教育学、中国语言文学、艺术学理论等多个省级重点学科，临床医学、植物学与动物学学科进入ESI全球前1%。近年来，学校大力推进“双一流”建设，在人才培养、科学研究、社会服务等方面取得显著成就，先后获得国家级教学成果奖、国家科技进步奖等多项荣誉，为国家和地方培养了大批优秀人才。

The university has distinct disciplinary characteristics, with many provincial key disciplines such as education, Chinese language and literature, and art theory, and clinical medicine, botany and zoology disciplines entering the top 1% of ESI globally. In recent years, the university has vigorously promoted the construction of "Double First-Class", and has made remarkable achievements in talent training, scientific research, social services, etc. It has successively won many honors such as the National Teaching Achievement Award and the National Science and Technology Progress Award, and has cultivated a large number of outstanding talents for the country and the local area.
