菏泽学院坐落在中国牡丹之都——山东省菏泽市，是山东省人民政府举办的省属全日制普通本科高校。学校前身是始建于1949年初的冀鲁豫区第二师范学校，历经菏泽师专、五校合并筹建等发展阶段，2004年5月被教育部批准为普通本科高校。学校总占地面积1424亩，建筑面积63万余平方米，设有21个教学单位、66个本科专业，形成九大应用型专业群，涉及十大学科门类，拥有5个省高水平应用型专业群、8个省一流本科专业及24个省级科研平台。

Heze University is located in Heze City, Shandong Province, known as the "Peony Capital of China". It is a full-time ordinary undergraduate university run by the People's Government of Shandong Province. The university traces its roots to the Second Normal School of Jilu-Yu District founded in early 1949, evolving through stages such as Heze Teachers College and the merger of five institutions. In May 2004, it was approved by the Ministry of Education as an ordinary undergraduate university. Covering a total area of 1,424 mu with a building area of over 630,000 square meters, the university comprises 21 teaching units and 66 undergraduate programs, forming nine applied professional clusters spanning ten disciplines. It boasts 5 provincial high-level applied professional groups, 8 provincial first-class undergraduate programs, and 24 provincial-level scientific research platforms.

学校坚持质量立校与科研强校战略，深化应用型人才培养改革，建有8所现代产业学院及600多个实习实训基地，近年来获批国家级项目23项、省部级项目168项，国家专利722项，荣获省级文明单位、省级花园式单位等多项荣誉称号，已发展成为鲁西南地区重要的人才培养基地和科技创新平台。

Adhering to the strategies of quality-oriented development and scientific research enhancement, the university deepens reforms in applied talent cultivation. It has established 8 modern industrial colleges and over 600 internship and training bases. In recent years, it has secured 23 national-level projects, 168 provincial-level projects, and 722 national patents. The university has been honored with titles such as "Provincial Civilized Unit" and "Provincial Garden-style Unit", emerging as a key talent cultivation base and technological innovation platform in southwestern Shandong.
