惠州卫生职业技术学院成立于2012年，前身为1958年创建的广东省惠阳卫生学校，是广东省第一所卫生类高职院校。建校60余年来，累计为社会输送十万名医药卫生类人才，被誉为“东江流域培养白衣天使的摇篮”。校园占地面积近25万平方米，建筑面积14万平方米，拥有完备的现代化教学设施和先进的校园网。

Huizhou Health Sciences Polytechnic was founded in 2012, with its predecessor being Guangdong Huiyang Health School established in 1958. It is the first public health vocational college in Guangdong Province. Over the past 60 years, the college has trained 100,000 medical and health professionals for the society, known as "the cradle of cultivating angels in white in the Dongjiang River Basin". The campus covers an area of nearly 250,000 square meters with a building area of 140,000 square meters, equipped with complete modern teaching facilities and advanced campus network.

学校秉承“厚朴远志、医者仁心”的校训精神，以培养高素质医药卫生技术技能人才为目标。2018届护理专业毕业生刘家怡援鄂抗疫的先进事迹广为人知，她那句“穿上防护服我就不是孩子了”感动全国，并获习近平总书记点赞。学校还涌现出“中国好人”温伟莲、“惠州好人”朱珠等优秀校友，彰显了新时代医务工作者的职业操守。

Adhering to the school motto of "Honest and Aspirant, Benevolent Medical Heart", the college aims to cultivate high-quality medical and health technical talents. Liu Jiayi, a nursing graduate of the 2018 class, became widely known for her outstanding deeds in aiding the fight against COVID-19 in Hubei. Her sentence "Once I put on the protective suit, I am no longer a child" moved the whole country and was praised by General Secretary Xi Jinping. The college has also produced outstanding alumni such as "China's Good Person" Wen Weilian and "Huizhou's Good Person" Zhu Zhu, demonstrating the professional ethics of medical workers in the new era.
