湖州学院是一所全日制公办普通本科高等学校，其前身为1999年成立的湖州师范学院求真学院。2021年1月，经教育部批准转设为公办普通本科高校并更名为湖州学院，现为浙江省应用型高校建设试点院校。学校坐落于历史文化名城浙江省湖州市，地处“绿水青山就是金山银山”理念诞生地，目前占地面积500余亩，规划中的新校区位于南太湖新区，规划用地1000亩。

Huzhou College is a full-time public undergraduate institution of higher education, formerly known as Qiuzhen College of Huzhou Normal University founded in 1999. In January 2021, it was approved by the Ministry of Education to be transformed into a public undergraduate college and renamed Huzhou College, and is now a pilot university for applied talent cultivation in Zhejiang Province. Located in Huzhou City, Zhejiang Province, a famous historical and cultural city and the birthplace of the "Lucid Waters and Lush Mountains Are Invaluable Assets" concept, the college currently covers an area of over 500 mu, with a planned new campus in the Nanhu Lake New District covering 1000 mu.

学校以理工类专业为主，涵盖工学、理学、经济学、医学、文学、艺术学等多个学科门类，现有36个本科专业，全日制在校生8300余人，规划在校生规模达13000人。拥有机械工程、药学2个省一流学科，5个湖州市一流学科，以及6个省一流本科专业建设点，形成了对接区域产业需求的特色学科专业体系。

With engineering as its primary focus, the college offers 36 undergraduate programs covering multiple disciplines including engineering, science, economics, medicine, literature, and arts. It has over 8,300 full-time students, with a planned enrollment scale of 13,000. The college boasts 2 provincial first-class disciplines (Mechanical Engineering and Pharmacy), 5 municipal first-class disciplines in Huzhou, and 6 provincial first-class undergraduate program construction sites, forming a distinctive disciplinary system aligned with regional industrial needs.

学校坚持“立足湖州、面向浙江、辐射长三角”的办学定位，深化产教融合，建有156个校外实践基地，近三年学生获国家级学科竞赛奖项120余项、省级奖项550余项。其办学质量和毕业生就业率连续多年位居浙江省同类高校前列，致力于培养服务区域经济社会发展的高素质应用型人才。

Adhering to the orientation of "rooted in Huzhou, serving Zhejiang, and radiating the Yangtze River Delta", the college promotes industry-education integration with 156 off-campus practice bases.
