内蒙古大学是中华人民共和国成立后党和国家在少数民族地区创办的第一所综合大学，1957年成立，坐落于内蒙古自治区首府呼和浩特市。学校是国家“双一流”建设高校、国家“211工程”重点建设院校，是内蒙古自治区人民政府和教育部共建高校，也是内蒙古自治区唯一的省部共建大学。学校始终坚持立德树人根本任务，以服务国家战略和地方经济社会发展为己任，形成了鲜明的民族特色和地区特色，在人才培养、科学研究、社会服务等方面取得了显著成就。

Inner Mongolia University is the first comprehensive university founded by the Party and the state in ethnic minority areas after the founding of the People's Republic of China. Established in 1957, it is located in Hohhot, the capital of the Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region. The university is a national "Double First-Class" construction university, a key university under the national "211 Project", a university jointly built by the People's Government of Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region and the Ministry of Education, and the only province-ministerial co-constructed university in Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region. Adhering to the fundamental task of fostering virtue through education, the university takes serving national strategies and local economic and social development as its responsibility, has formed distinct ethnic and regional characteristics, and has achieved remarkable achievements in talent cultivation, scientific research, and social services.

学校学科门类齐全，涵盖哲学、经济学、法学、教育学、文学、历史学、理学、工学、农学、管理学、艺术学等11大学科门类，拥有12个博士学位授权一级学科、23个硕士学位授权一级学科、15个硕士专业学位授权类别，以及5个博士后科研流动站。在长期的办学过程中，学校培养了大批优秀人才，他们遍布全国各地和各行各业，为国家和地方的发展建设作出了重要贡献。

The university has a complete range of disciplines, covering 11 disciplines including philosophy, economics, law, education, literature, history, science, engineering, agriculture, management, and art. It has 12 first-level disciplines authorized for doctoral degrees, 23 first-level disciplines authorized for master's degrees, 15 categories of professional master's degree authorizations, and 5 post-doctoral research stations. In the long-term process of running the school, it has cultivated a large number of outstanding talents who are distributed all over the country and in various industries, making important contributions to the development and construction of the country and the region.
