内蒙古科技大学包头师范学院坐落在享有“世界稀土之都”“世界绿色硅都”美誉的“草原钢城”——内蒙古自治区包头市，前身为1958年创建的包头师范专科学校。1996年更名为包头师范高等专科学校，2000年与原包头师范学校、包头教育学院合并升格为本科院校并更名为包头师范学院，2003年与原包头钢铁学院、包头医学院合并为内蒙古科技大学，2004年经内蒙古自治区人民政府批准，以内蒙古科技大学包头师范学院校名恢复独立法人资格。学校2008年以优秀成绩通过教育部本科教学水平评估，2017年顺利接受教育部本科教学工作审核评估，2021年、2022年小学教育和汉语言文学专业先后通过教育部师范类专业第二级认证。

Baotou Normal College of Inner Mongolia University of Science and Technology is located in Baotou City, Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, known as the "World Rare Earth Capital" and "World Green Silicon Capital" as well as the "Grassland Steel City". Its predecessor was Baotou Teachers' College founded in 1958. It was renamed Baotou Teachers' College in 1996, merged with the former Baotou Normal School and Baotou Institute of Education to be upgraded to an undergraduate college named Baotou Normal College in 2000, merged with the former Baotou Iron and Steel Institute and Baotou Medical College to form Inner Mongolia University of Science and Technology in 2003, and resumed its independent legal personality under the name of Baotou Normal College of Inner Mongolia University of Science and Technology with the approval of the People's Government of Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region in 2004. The college passed the undergraduate teaching level evaluation of the Ministry of Education with excellent results in 2008, successfully accepted the undergraduate teaching audit evaluation of the Ministry of Education in 2017, and its Primary Education and Chinese Language and Literature programs passed the second-level certification of normal majors of the Ministry of Education in 2021 and 2022 respectively.

学校现有青山、九原两个校区，总占地面积1528亩，校舍建筑面积32.6万平方米，固定资产8.22亿元。设有20个教学机构，拥有6个一级学科硕士学位授权点、2个二级学科硕士学位授权点、6个硕士专业学位授权点、50个本科专业，在校生14465人。师资队伍中，专任教师775人，拥有国家级特色专业2个、国家级一流本科专业建设点4个、自治区级一流本科专业建设点12个，形成了以师范教育为特色，文、理、工、管、艺等多学科协调发展的办学格局，是一所以本科教育为主，研究生教育、继续教育、创新创业教育协调发展的普通高等师范院校。

The college has two campuses, Qingshan and Jiuyuan, with a total area of 1528 mu, a building area of 326,000 square meters, and fixed assets of 822 million yuan. It has 20 teaching institutions, 6 first-level discipline master's degree authorization points, 2 second-level discipline master's degree authorization points, 6 professional master's degree authorization points, 50 undergraduate majors, and 14,465 students. Among the teaching staff, there are 775 full-time teachers. The college has 2 national-level characteristic majors, 4 national-level first-class undergraduate major construction sites, and 12 autonomous region-level first-class undergraduate major construction sites. It has formed a school-running pattern with normal education as its特色 and coordinated development of multiple disciplines such as liberal arts, science, engineering, management, and art. It is an ordinary higher normal college focusing on undergraduate education and coordinated development of graduate education, continuing education, and innovation and entrepreneurship education.
