内蒙古工业大学坐落在呼和浩特市，是一所以工为主，工、理、管、法、文、经、艺术相结合，具有学士、硕士、博士完整人才培养体系的特色鲜明的多科性大学。学校创建于1951年，始为绥远省高级工业学校，开启内蒙古工程教育先河。1958年，在清华大学支援下成立内蒙古工学院，开启本科办学新篇章。1993年更名为内蒙古工业大学，2003年获得博士学位授予权。

Inner Mongolia University of Technology is located in Hohhot, a distinctive multidisciplinary university with a complete talent training system for bachelor's, master's, and doctoral degrees, focusing on engineering and integrating science, management, law, literature, economics, and art. Founded in 1951 as Suiyuan Provincial Advanced Industrial School, it pioneered engineering education in Inner Mongolia. In 1958, with support from Tsinghua University, it was established as Inner Mongolia Institute of Technology, starting undergraduate education. Renamed Inner Mongolia University of Technology in 1993, it obtained doctoral degree authorization in 2003.

学校现有新城、金川、准格尔、康巴什4个校区，占地面积3727亩，建筑面积140.81万平方米。设有23个教学单位，84个本科专业，其中国家级一流本科专业建设点20个，10个专业通过工程教育专业认证。拥有一级学科博士学位授权点9个，博士后科研流动站3个，工程学、材料科学、化学学科进入ESI全球前1%。

The university has 4 campuses (Xincheng, Jinchuan, Jungar, and Kangbashi) covering 3,727 mu with a building area of 1.4081 million square meters. It comprises 23 teaching units and 84 undergraduate programs, including 20 national first-class undergraduate program construction sites and 10 programs accredited by engineering education certification. It boasts 9 first-level doctoral degree programs, 3 post-doctoral research stations, and its engineering, materials science, and chemistry disciplines rank among the top 1% in ESI globally.

学校现有教职工2187人，专任教师1560人，其中教授218人、副教授551人，博士生导师137人。拥有风能太阳能利用技术教育部重点实验室等5个国家级科研平台，十四五以来承担国家科技重大项目、国家自然/社会科学基金项目181项，获国防技术发明奖二等奖1项，自治区科学技术奖17项。建校73年来，累计培养近20万名优秀人才，为国家和自治区经济社会发展作出重要贡献。

The university has 2,187 faculty members, including 1,560 full-time teachers with 218 professors, 551 associate professors, and 137 doctoral supervisors. It hosts 5 national-level research platforms such as the Ministry of Education Key Laboratory of Wind and Solar Energy Utilization Technology. Since the 14th Five-Year Plan, it has undertaken 181 national-level projects including major science and technology projects and NSFC projects, winning 1 Second Prize of National Defense Technology Invention Award and 17 Inner Mongolia Science and Technology Awards. Over 73 years, it has cultivated nearly 200,000 talents, contributing significantly to regional and national development.
