Jinan University is the first overseas Chinese institution of higher learning founded by the Chinese government, established in 1906 with its main campus located in Guangzhou, Guangdong Province. Directly under the leadership of the Central United Front Work Department, it is a national "Double First-Class" construction university and a key university under the "211 Project", known as the "Highest Institution for Overseas Chinese". 学校学科门类齐全，涵盖文、理、工、医、经、管、法、教、艺等九大学科门类，其中临床医学、工程学、材料科学、化学、药理学与毒理学、生物学与生物化学、农业科学、环境科学与生态学等8个学科进入ESI全球前1%。学校拥有国家级重点学科4个、省部级重点学科39个，设有37个学院和研究生院，104个本科专业，形成了完整的人才培养体系。

The university offers a comprehensive range of disciplines, covering nine major fields including arts, science, engineering, medicine, economics, management, law, education, and art. Among them, 8 disciplines such as Clinical Medicine, Engineering, Materials Science, Chemistry, Pharmacology and Toxicology, Biology and Biochemistry, Agricultural Science, and Environmental Science and Ecology have entered the top 1% of ESI globally. It has 4 national key disciplines, 39 provincial and ministerial key disciplines, 37 colleges and a graduate school, and 104 undergraduate majors, forming a complete talent training system.
