吉利学院是经教育部批准独立设置的全日制民办普通本科高校，由世界500强企业吉利控股集团于1999年在北京创办，前身为北京吉利大学。2014年4月经教育部批准升格为本科高校并更名为北京吉利学院。2020年3月，学校响应中央疏解非首都核心功能号召，经教育部批准整体搬迁至成都市办学，更名为吉利学院。

Geely University is a full-time private general undergraduate college approved by the Ministry of Education. Founded in Beijing in 1999 by Geely Holding Group, a Fortune Global 500 enterprise, its predecessor was Beijing Geely University. In April 2014, it was upgraded to an undergraduate college with the approval of the Ministry of Education and renamed Beijing Geely University. In March 2020, in response to the central government's call to relieve non-capital core functions, the university was approved by the Ministry of Education to relocate its entire campus to Chengdu and renamed Geely University.

学校总占地面积2000亩，规划总建筑面积120万平方米，以“创梦校园、温馨校园、智慧校园、生态校园”为建设理念。现设有智能网联与新能源汽车学院、智能制造学院等16个二级学院，开设车辆工程、数据科学与大数据技术等39个本科专业，形成以工学为主，经、管、艺等多学科协调发展的学科专业格局。

The university covers a total area of 2000 mu with a planned total construction area of 1.2 million square meters, adhering to the construction concept of "Dream-Creating Campus, Warm Campus, Smart Campus, and Ecological Campus". It currently has 16 secondary colleges including the School of Intelligent Connected and New Energy Vehicles and the School of Intelligent Manufacturing, offering 39 undergraduate majors such as Vehicle Engineering and Data Science and Big Data Technology. It has formed a disciplinary pattern with engineering as the main focus, coordinated development of economics, management, art and other disciplines.

依托吉利控股集团产业优势，学校深化产教融合，建有汽车工程实验实训中心、工业互联网实验室等高水平实训基地，与盛宝金融、广域铭岛等企业共建产业学院，培养具有实践能力和创新精神的应用型人才。校训为“走进校园是为了更好地走向社会”，致力于成为特色鲜明的高水平应用型大学。

Relying on the industrial advantages of Geely Holding Group, the university deepens industry-education integration, has built high-level training bases such as the Automotive Engineering Experimental Training Center and Industrial Internet Laboratory, and co-established industrial colleges with enterprises such as Saxo Bank and Guangyu Mingdao to cultivate applied talents with practical ability and innovative spirit.
