Johannes Kepler University Linz, referred to as "JKU", was founded in 1966 and named after astronomer Johannes Kepler. Located in Linz, the capital of Upper Austria, it is the largest public scientific research institution in the state. As an internationally renowned research center in economics and sociology, the university is also committed to teaching and research in law, technology, and natural sciences. It comprises four faculties including the Faculty of Engineering and Natural Sciences and the Faculty of Chemistry, Polymer Engineering and Technology, with over 120 research centers offering 64 degree programs at various levels.
