江西水利职业学院是经江西省人民政府批准、国家教育部备案的公办全日制普通高等专科学校，隶属于江西省水利厅，前身为1956年创建的江西省南昌水利学校，2013年正式升格为高等职业院校，是江西省唯一一所水利水电类高等职业院校。

Jiangxi Water Resources Institute is a public full-time ordinary higher vocational college approved by the People's Government of Jiangxi Province and registered by the Ministry of Education. Affiliated to the Jiangxi Provincial Department of Water Resources, its predecessor was Jiangxi Nanchang Water Conservancy School founded in 1956. It was officially upgraded to a higher vocational college in 2013 and is the only higher vocational college specializing in water conservancy and hydropower in Jiangxi Province.

学院现有赣江新区湖东校区和白水湖校区两个校区，总占地面积1200余亩，校园环境优美，学术氛围浓厚，毗邻江西财经大学、华东交通大学等省内名校。教学设施完善，建有实训大楼6座、实习（训）场所及实验室220个，教学科研设备总值超5000万元，并在峡江、共青城等地建有校外实习基地。

The college has two campuses: Hudong Campus in Ganjiang New Area and Baishuihu Campus, covering a total area of over 1200 mu. The campus has a beautiful environment and a strong academic atmosphere, adjacent to famous universities in the province such as Jiangxi University of Finance and Economics and East China Jiaotong University. It has complete teaching facilities, including 6 training buildings, 220 internship (training) sites and laboratories, with a total value of teaching and research equipment exceeding 50 million yuan. It also has off-campus internship bases in Xiajiang, Gongqingcheng and other places.

学校设有水利工程系、建筑工程系等7个系部，开设水利水电建筑工程、水文与水资源技术等34个高职专业，其中水利水电建筑工程、动漫制作技术为省级高水平专业群，水文与水资源技术为全国优质水利专业。现有教职工418人，其中研究生学历及以上199人，高级职称63人，双师型教师130人，拥有全国优秀教师、国家水利职业教育名师等一批高水平师资。

The college has 7 departments including the Department of Water Conservancy Engineering and the Department of Architectural Engineering, offering 34 higher vocational majors such as Water Conservancy and Hydropower Architectural Engineering and Hydrology and Water Resources Technology. Among them, Water Conservancy and Hydropower Architectural Engineering and Animation Production Technology are provincial high-level professional groups, and Hydrology and Water Resources Technology is a national high-quality water conservancy major. There are 418 faculty members, including 199 with graduate degrees or above, 63 with senior professional titles, and 130 double-qualified teachers. It has a group of high-level teachers such as national excellent teachers and national water conservancy vocational education famous teachers.

学院秉持“明德精技，融合致新”的办学理念，以培养水利行业高素质技术技能人才为目标，被誉为“江西水利技术和技能人才培养的摇篮”，先后荣获“全国优质水利高等职业院校”“国家高技能人才培训基地”等称号。

Adhering to the school-running philosophy of "Virtue and Skills, Integration and Innovation", the college aims to cultivate high-quality technical and skilled talents in the water conservancy industry. It is known as "the cradle of water conservancy technology and skilled talents training in Jiangxi" and has successively won titles such as "National High-quality Water Conservancy Higher Vocational College" and "National High-skilled Talents Training Base".
