江西科技学院是一所以工学、管理学、艺术学为主，多学科协调发展的全日制民办普通本科高校，具有颁发国家承认的统招本、专科学历资格，并具有学士学位授予权。学校前身是创建于1994年的江西省高级职业学校，1999年经教育部批准成为普通高职院校，改名为蓝天职业技术学院，2005年升格为普通本科院校，改名江西蓝天学院，2009年获批为学士学位授予单位，2012年更名为江西科技学院，2015年学校获批江西省博士后创新实践基地，2016年获批为江西省硕士学位立项建设单位。

Jiangxi University of Technology is a full-time private ordinary undergraduate university mainly focusing on engineering, management, and art, with coordinated development of multiple disciplines. It has the qualification to issue nationally recognized undergraduate and junior college diplomas and the right to grant bachelor's degrees. The predecessor of the university was Jiangxi Advanced Vocational School founded in 1994. In 1999, it was approved by the Ministry of Education to become a regular higher vocational college and renamed Lantian Vocational and Technical College. In 2005, it was upgraded to a regular undergraduate college and renamed Jiangxi Lantian College. In 2009, it was approved as a bachelor's degree-granting unit. In 2012, it was renamed Jiangxi University of Technology. In 2015, the university was approved as a postdoctoral innovation practice base in Jiangxi Province, and in 2016, it was approved as a master's degree project construction unit in Jiangxi Province.

学校坐落在享有“英雄城”美誉的江南历史文化名城、江西省省会城市——南昌。校园占地面积近2000亩，建筑面积100万余平方米，图书馆馆藏纸质图书、电子图书530余万册，教学科研仪器设备总值近5亿余元。现有全日制在校本、专科生4万余人，设有13个二级学院和1个教学部，开设57个本科专业、41个专科专业，涵盖工学、管理学、艺术学等7大学科门类。

The university is located in Nanchang, the capital city of Jiangxi Province, a famous historical and cultural city in the south of the Yangtze River known as the "Hero City". The campus covers an area of nearly 2000 mu, with a building area of more than 1 million square meters. The library has a collection of more than 5.3 million paper books and e-books, and the total value of teaching and research instruments and equipment is nearly 500 million yuan. There are more than 40,000 full-time undergraduate and junior college students, 13 secondary colleges and 1 teaching department, offering 57 undergraduate majors and 41 junior college majors, covering 7 disciplines including engineering, management, and art.
