晋中师范高等专科学校是经国家教育部批准设置的全日制公办普通高等院校，以培养专科层次小学和幼教师资为主。学校前身是与共和国同龄的山西省太谷师范学校和成立于1985年的山西省太行师范学校，2010年3月在全省16所中幼师学校中率先独立升格为师范高等专科学校。学校位于山西省晋中市榆次区广安街189号，占地面积216亩，秉承“爱满天下”的校训，形成了“向真、崇和、致远”的校风及“严谨、博雅、垂范”的教风。

Jinzhong Normal Junior College is a full-time public ordinary higher education institution approved by the Ministry of Education of China, mainly cultivating teachers for primary schools and kindergartens at the junior college level. Its predecessors are Shanxi Taigu Normal School (founded in the same year as the People's Republic of China) and Shanxi Taihang Normal School (established in 1985). In March 2010, it took the lead among 16 secondary normal schools in Shanxi Province to be independently upgraded to a normal junior college. Located at No. 189 Guang'an Street, Yuci District, Jinzhong City, Shanxi Province, the college covers an area of 216 mu, adhering to the school motto of "Love Fills the World", and has formed a school spirit of "Pursuing Truth, Advocating Harmony, Striving for Distant Goals" and a teaching style of "Rigorous, Erudite, and Exemplary".

学校现有教职工582人，其中专任教师409人，教授、副教授88人，硕士以上研究生教师147人，双师素质教师276人。校内建有晋中文物陈列馆、皇甫束玉文化教育艺术馆等特色馆室，拥有189个教学班，在校生7713人。近年来招生录取分数线在山西省同类院校中名列前茅，近三年毕业生就业率达90%以上，双证书获取率超97%，荣获“国家级语言文字规范化示范校”“山西省文明学校”等多项荣誉。

The college currently has 582 faculty members, including 409 full-time teachers, 88 professors and associate professors, 147 teachers with master's degree or above, and 276 "double-qualified" teachers. It has built characteristic facilities such as Jinzhong Cultural Relics Exhibition Hall and Huangfu Shuyu Culture and Education Art Museum on campus. With 189 teaching classes and 7,713 students, the college has ranked among the top in admission scores among similar institutions in Shanxi Province in recent years. The employment rate of graduates has exceeded 90% in the past three years, and the double-certificate acquisition rate has surpassed 97%. It has won many honors such as "National Model School for Language Standardization" and "Civilized School of Shanxi Province".
