荆州职业技术学院是经湖北省人民政府批准、国家教育部备案的全日制公办普通高等职业学校，成立于2001年4月，由六所国家级、省部级重点中专合并组建，最早办学历史可追溯至1952年。学校坐落于历史文化名城荆州，是湖北省文明单位、湖北省优质专科高职学校、湖北省高水平高职院校立项建设单位，荣获全国高职办学满意度20强、全国五四红旗团委等称号。

Jingzhou Vocational and Technical College is a full-time public higher vocational school approved by the Hubei Provincial People's Government and registered with the Ministry of Education. Established in April 2001, it was formed by merging six national and provincial key secondary specialized schools, with its earliest educational history dating back to 1952. Located in the famous historical and cultural city of Jingzhou, the college is a civilized unit of Hubei Province, a high-quality vocational college in Hubei, and a project construction unit for high-level vocational colleges in Hubei. It has been awarded titles such as Top 20 National Vocational Colleges in Satisfaction and National May Fourth Red Flag Youth League Committee.

学校设有10个二级学院，开设47个专业，其中6个国家骨干专业、2个中央财政支持专业、3个全国现代学徒制试点专业。现有教职工1087人，教授24人，副教授201人，双师素质教师占比59.8%，全日制在校生1.9万余人。拥有3个国家级实训基地、2个国家级校企共建生产性实训基地，以及122个校内实训室，毕业生就业率长期稳定在96%以上。

The college has 10 secondary colleges offering 47 majors, including 6 national key majors, 2 majors supported by central finance, and 3 national modern apprenticeship pilot majors. It has 1,087 faculty members, including 24 professors and 201 associate professors, with 59.8% of "double-qualified" teachers. The college has over 19,000 full-time students, 3 national training bases, 2 national production-oriented training bases co-built by schools and enterprises, and 122 on-campus training rooms. The employment rate of graduates has remained stable at over 96% for a long time.

学校深度融入国家乡村振兴战略，构建"五个一"职业技能培训服务体系，被教育部确定为全国职业学校职业技能培训典型案例。近年来获国家专利198项，省级教学成果奖、科技进步奖多项，培养了大批服务区域经济社会发展的高素质技术技能人才，成为江汉平原职业教育的重要基地。

Deeply integrating into the national rural revitalization strategy, the college has built a "Five-in-One" vocational skills training service system, which was identified by the Ministry of Education as a national typical case of vocational skills training in vocational schools. In recent years, it has obtained 198 national patents and multiple provincial teaching achievement awards and scientific and technological progress awards. It has cultivated a large number of high-quality technical and skilled talents serving regional economic and social development, becoming an important base for vocational education in the Jianghan Plain.
