Kharkiv National University of Radio Electronics is a higher education institution with a long history and technical heritage in Ukraine. Founded in 1930, it is one of the earliest universities in Ukraine focusing on technical fields. The university has significant professional advantages in electrical engineering, electronics, communication technology, and computer technology. It ranks first among technical universities in Ukraine and 13th among Ukrainian universities in the Scimago Institutions Rankings.

The university has 7 faculties and 34 departments, covering various fields such as computer science, computer engineering and control, information and analytical technology, information radio technology, telecommunications, automation and computer technology, electronics and biomedical engineering. It provides students with a wide range of technical professional courses from microelectronics and nanotechnology to artificial intelligence and media systems, and from radio and biomedical engineering to computer science. In the 2025 QS World University Rankings, Kharkiv National University of Radio Electronics is ranked in the 1201-1400 range and performs well in the QS EECA University Rankings.
