昆明卫生职业学院是在1994年成立的原云南省骨伤科中等专业学校基础上，于2011年经云南省人民政府批准、国家教育部备案成立的全日制医学类民办高等专科院校。学院有昆明晋宁及五华两个校区，共占地1600余亩，建筑面积43万余平方米，教学、科研设备仪器总值2.3亿元。

Kunming Health Vocational College is a full-time private medical college approved by the People's Government of Yunnan Province and registered with the Ministry of Education in 2011, based on the former Yunnan Orthopedic Secondary Professional School founded in 1994. The college has two campuses in Jinning and Wuhua of Kunming, covering a total area of more than 1,600 mu, with a building area of over 430,000 square meters and a total value of teaching and research equipment of 230 million yuan.

学院专注医学教育31年，累计为社会培养医疗卫生专业人才15万余人，先后被授予“云南省优秀高等院校”“五一劳动奖”“省级优质教师素质培训基地”“国家级护理专业骨干教师培训基地”等荣誉称号。学院秉持“送人千金不如传人一技”的办学理念，坚持“依法治校、制度管校、质量立校、人才强校、特色兴校”的治校原则，开设医学类相关专业22个，面向全国20余个省市招生，在籍学生2.6万余人，校内专任教师898人，外聘专家184人，行业导师230人，中级及以上职称教师528人，其中教授及副教授275人。

With 31 years of focus on medical education, the college has cultivated more than 150,000 medical and health professionals for the society. It has been awarded honors such as "Yunnan Excellent Higher Education Institution", "May 1st Labor Award", "Provincial Quality Teacher Training Base", and "National Nursing Professional Backbone Teacher Training Base". It offers 22 medical-related majors, enrolls students from more than 20 provinces and cities across the country, with more than 26,000 students in school, 898 full-time teachers, 184 external experts, 230 industry mentors, 528 teachers with intermediate or higher professional titles, including 275 professors and associate professors.
