陇东学院是一所全日制综合性省属普通本科院校，地处甘肃省庆阳市，前身是1978年经国务院批准成立的庆阳师范专科学校，1992年更名为庆阳师范高等专科学校，2001年庆阳地区农业科学研究所和庆阳地区农业学校整体并入，2003年经教育部批准成立陇东学院。2022-2023年被教育部列为华东理工大学、陕西师范大学、华南理工大学和西北农林科技大学对口支援学校，2024年被国务院学位委员会审核增列为硕士学位授予单位。学校实行省地共建、以省为主的办学体制。

Longdong University is a full-time comprehensive provincial ordinary undergraduate institution located in Qingyang City, Gansu Province. Its predecessor was Qingyang Normal College, approved by the State Council in 1978. It was renamed Qingyang Normal College in 1992, merged with Qingyang Regional Agricultural Science Research Institute and Qingyang Regional Agricultural School in 2001, and officially established as Longdong University with the approval of the Ministry of Education in 2003. From 2022 to 2023, it was listed by the Ministry of Education as a counterpart support school by East China University of Science and Technology, Shaanxi Normal University, South China University of Technology, and Northwest A&F University. In 2024, it was approved by the Academic Degrees Committee of the State Council as a master's degree-granting unit. The university operates under a co-construction system between the province and the local government, with the province as the main responsible party.

学校现占地面积1310亩，校舍建筑面积57万平方米，固定资产总值11亿元，教学仪器设备总值1.63亿元，馆藏图书202.96万册。现有全日制在校生18758人，面向全国28个省市区招生。设有马克思主义、文学与历史文化、教育与体育等13个二级学院和继续教育学院，招生专业36个，涉及文、理、教、工、农、管等9个学科门类。拥有生物科学国家级一流本科专业、国家级特色专业，2门国家级一流本科课程，19个省级一流本科专业，9个省级特色专业，41门省级一流本科课程。

The university currently covers an area of 1,310 mu (about 87.3 hectares) with a building area of 570,000 square meters. The total value of fixed assets is 1.1 billion yuan, teaching instruments and equipment are worth 163 million yuan, and the library has 2.0296 million books. It has 18,758 full-time students, enrolling from 28 provinces and cities nationwide. The university consists of 13 secondary colleges including the School of Marxism, School of Literature and History Culture, School of Education and Sports, and a School of Continuing Education, offering 36 enrollment majors covering 9 disciplines such as arts, science, education, engineering, agriculture, and management. It boasts national first-class undergraduate programs in Biological Sciences, national characteristic majors, 2 national first-class undergraduate courses, 19 provincial first-class undergraduate programs, 9 provincial characteristic majors, and 41 provincial first-class undergraduate courses.

现有教职工1284人，其中具有高级以上职称人员507人，博士、硕士学位教师850人。拥有国务院特殊津贴专家4人，省优秀专家、领军人才等54人，43人享受甘肃省高层次专业技术人才津贴。学校建有5个省级重点学科，2个省级高校重点实验室，3个省高校人文社科重点研究基地，与多所国内外高校建立合作关系，加入《1+2+1中美人才培养计划》项目，致力于培养具有“人文情怀、科学素养、工匠精神”的应用型人才，已为社会培养各类应用型人才11万余人。

There are 1,284 faculty members, including 507 with senior titles and 850 with doctoral or master's degrees. It has 4 experts enjoying special government allowances from the State Council, 54 provincial outstanding experts and leading talents, and 43 people receiving allowances for high-level professional and technical talents in Gansu Province. The university has established 5 provincial key disciplines, 2 provincial key laboratories in universities, and 3 provincial key research bases for humanities and social sciences in universities. It has established cooperative relations with many domestic and foreign universities, joined the "1+2+1 Sino-US Talent Cultivation Program", and is committed to cultivating applied talents with "humanistic feelings, scientific literacy, and craftsmanship spirit", having trained more than 110,000 applied talents for society.
