辽宁科技学院是一所以工科为主、多学科协调发展的省属普通本科院校，坐落于辽宁省本溪新城，距沈阳桃仙国际机场20公里。学校前身可追溯至1907年的本溪县立师范传习所，历经多次更名与发展，2004年升格为本科院校并定现名。校园占地87.06万平方米，建筑面积42.74万平方米，固定资产原值11.72亿元，教学科研仪器设备总值2.51亿元，图书馆藏书108.27万册。

Liaoning Institute of Science and Technology is a provincial public undergraduate university focusing on engineering with coordinated development of multiple disciplines. Located in Benxi New City, Liaoning Province, it is 20 kilometers away from Shenyang Taoxian International Airport. Tracing its roots back to Benxi County Normal Training Institute founded in 1907, the university underwent several name changes and developments before being upgraded to an undergraduate institution in 2004 with its current name. The campus covers 870,600 square meters with a building area of 427,400 square meters, boasting fixed assets of 1.172 billion yuan, teaching and research equipment worth 251 million yuan, and a library collection of 1.0827 million volumes.

学校以“明道明德、求新求实”为校训，开设工、经、管、文、艺、教育等六大学科门类40个本科专业，其中国家级一流本科专业2个（冶金工程、广告学），省级一流本科专业11个，2个专业通过工程教育专业认证。现有专任教师567人，教授、副教授等高级职称人员283人，博士、硕士学位教师660人。近年来获国家自然科学基金等各级科研项目800余项，专利700余项，科技成果转化200余项，省内转化率超80%。

With the motto "Uphold Virtue and Truth, Pursue Innovation and Pragmatism", the university offers 40 undergraduate programs covering six disciplines including engineering, economics, management, liberal arts, arts, and education. It has 2 national first-class undergraduate programs (Metallurgical Engineering, Advertising), 11 provincial first-class undergraduate programs, and 2 programs accredited by engineering education certification. The faculty consists of 567 full-time teachers, including 283 with senior titles (professors and associate professors) and 660 with doctoral or master's degrees. In recent years, it has undertaken over 800 scientific research projects at various levels including National Natural Science Foundation projects, obtained more than 700 patents, and transformed over 200 technological achievements with an in-province conversion rate exceeding 80%.

作为辽宁省首批应用型转型试点院校和示范校，学校先后获批教育部新工科教育综合改革项目、国家发改委产教融合工程项目等，牵头组建辽宁省机器人产业校企联盟，拥有国家级技术转移示范机构等13个科研院所，形成“立足冶金、校企合作、注重实践”的办学特色，为区域经济社会发展培养了大批应用型高级专门人才。

As one of Liaoning's first pilot and demonstration universities for application-oriented transformation, the university has successively obtained Ministry of Education's New Engineering comprehensive reform projects and National Development and Reform Commission's industry-education integration projects. It leads the Liaoning Robot Industry University-Enterprise Alliance and houses 13 research institutes including a national-level technology transfer demonstration institution. With the办学 characteristics of "based on metallurgy, university-enterprise cooperation, and focus on practice", it has cultivated numerous application-oriented senior professionals for regional economic and social development.
