岭南师范学院是一所具有百年师范教育积淀的广东省属公办高校，坐落在中国大陆最南端的美丽港城湛江市。学校前身可追溯到1636年（明朝崇祯九年）始建于雷州府城的雷阳书院，1904年开设简易师范科，开启师范教育历程，历经雷州师范专科学校、湛江师范学院等发展阶段，2014年更名为岭南师范学院，2024年成功获批硕士学位授予权，迈入办学新征程。

Lingnan Normal University is a public university under Guangdong Province with a century-long heritage in teacher education, located in Zhanjiang, a beautiful coastal city at the southernmost tip of mainland China. Its predecessor can be traced back to Leiyang Academy founded in 1636 (the ninth year of Chongzhen in the Ming Dynasty) in Leizhou Prefecture. In 1904, it launched a simple normal education program, initiating its teacher education journey. It has gone through development stages such as Leizhou Normal College and Zhanjiang Normal University, was renamed Lingnan Normal University in 2014, and successfully obtained the right to grant master's degrees in 2024, entering a new era of school running.

学校学科专业体系完备，设有32个二级学院，涵盖经济学、法学、教育学等十大学科门类，开设79个本科专业和3个硕士学位点，形成门类齐全的教师教育体系，其中汉语言文学、化学为国家级特色专业，8个师范专业通过教育部二级认证。现有全日制在校生近3.5万人，教职员工2300余人，高级职称教师580多名，博士600多名，拥有省级科研平台39个，近五年获批国家级科研项目56项，办学条件日臻完善，校园占地面积2580亩，图书馆纸质藏书355万册，是粤西地区重要的人才培养和科研创新基地。

The university boasts a comprehensive disciplinary and professional system, with 32 secondary colleges covering ten disciplines including economics, law, and education. It offers 79 undergraduate programs and 3 master's degree programs, forming a complete teacher education system. Among them, Chinese Language and Literature and Chemistry are national-level characteristic majors, and 8 normal majors have passed the second-level certification of the Ministry of Education. Currently, it has nearly 35,000 full-time students and over 2,300 faculty members, including more than 580 with senior professional titles and over 600 doctors. It has 39 provincial-level scientific research platforms and has obtained 56 national-level scientific research projects in the past five years. The school running conditions are increasingly improved, with a campus area of 2,580 mu and a library with 3.55 million paper books, making it an important talent training and scientific research innovation base in western Guangdong.
