辽宁中医药大学成立于1958年，时称辽宁中医学院，是经辽宁省委批准，由辽宁省中医进修学校（1955年成立）和辽宁省中医医院（1956年成立）合并组建的辽宁省唯一一所中医药高等院校。2006年更名为辽宁中医药大学，2024年获批成为辽宁省人民政府与国家中医药管理局共建高校，是东北地区中医药教育、科研、医疗的核心基地之一。

Liaoning University of Traditional Chinese Medicine (LNUTCM) was founded in 1958 as Liaoning College of Traditional Chinese Medicine. Approved by the Liaoning Provincial Party Committee, it was established through the merger of Liaoning Traditional Chinese Medicine Training School (founded in 1955) and Liaoning Traditional Chinese Medicine Hospital (founded in 1956), becoming the only higher education institution for traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) in Liaoning Province. Renamed to its current name in 2006, it was approved as a joint construction university by the Liaoning Provincial People's Government and the State Administration of Traditional Chinese Medicine in 2024, emerging as a core base for TCM education, research, and medical services in Northeast China.

学校形成“一校三区”办学格局，主校区位于沈阳，分校区地处大连和本溪，总占地面积1000余亩，确立“南药北医中基础”的发展布局。设有医、理、工、管、文、法、农7个学科门类，27个本科专业，现有在校生1.35万人。拥有1个国家重点学科、26个国家中医药管理局重点学科，3个一级博士学位授权学科及3个博士后科研流动站，构建了覆盖中医药全产业链的高层次人才培养体系。

The university has developed a "one university, three campuses" layout, with its main campus in Shenyang and branch campuses in Dalian and Benxi, covering a total area of over 1,000 mu. It has established a development framework of "Southern Medicine, Northern Clinical Practice, and Central Basic Research". Offering 27 undergraduate programs across 7 disciplines (medicine, science, engineering, management, humanities, law, and agriculture), it currently enrolls 13,500 students. LNUTCM boasts 1 national key discipline, 26 key disciplines approved by the State Administration of Traditional Chinese Medicine, 3 first-level doctoral degree programs, and 3 postdoctoral research stations, forming a high-level talent cultivation system covering the entire TCM industry chain.

作为首批国家中医药服务出口基地和国家中医临床研究基地，学校先后荣获“全国文明单位”“全国五一劳动奖状”等荣誉称号。4所直属附属医院均为三级甲等医院，其中第一附属医院入选“全国中医医院百强”，为区域中医药医疗服务提供重要支撑。

As one of the first national TCM service export bases and national TCM clinical research bases, the university has been awarded honors such as "National Civilized Unit" and "National May 1st Labor Award". Its 4 affiliated hospitals are all Class III Grade A hospitals, with the First Affiliated Hospital ranked among the "Top 100 TCM Hospitals in China", providing crucial support for regional TCM medical services.

LNUTCM has established itself as a pivotal institution in promoting TCM inheritance and innovation, integrating education, research, and clinical practice to cultivate professionals and advance TCM modernization.
