Technical University of Lodz, founded in 1945 and located in Lodz, Poland's third-largest city, is one of the largest technical universities in Poland. With its roots in a technical institution筹备 in 1921, it has evolved into an educational system centered on engineering and technology with interdisciplinary coordination. The university comprises 9 faculties and over 60 research fields, including key disciplines such as mechanical engineering, electronics and computer science, materials science, and biomedical engineering. The university currently has approximately 15,000 students and over 3,000 faculty members, with international students accounting for about 10% from more than 80 countries worldwide. Teaching is conducted in multiple languages including Polish, English, and French. The International Faculty of Engineering offers 9 English-taught undergraduate and master's programs such as Biomedical Engineering, Computer Science, and Business and Technology. Emphasizing industry-academia-research integration, the university has established partnerships with over 300 institutions in more than 40 countries, enabling students to study abroad through programs like Erasmus. Its research focuses on cutting-edge fields such as bioengineering, nanotechnology, and intelligent materials.
