莱芜职业技术学院是济南市属公办全日制普通高等职业院校，成立于2000年10月，由原莱芜师范学校、莱芜市第二职业中专和莱芜广播电视大学组建而成。2012年，莱芜市卫生职工中等专业学校整建制并入学校，办学历史可追溯到1952年建校的莱芜师范学校。学校始终坚持为党育人、为国育才，以服务济南、辐射山东，工科为主、多科并举，培养高技能人才，建设走在前列的高水平现代化职业院校为办学定位，以人人成才、人人就业、人人出彩为人才培养目标。

Laiwu Vocational and Technical College is a public full-time higher vocational college affiliated to Jinan City. It was established in October 2000 by the merger of the former Laiwu Normal School, Laiwu No. 2 Vocational Secondary School, and Laiwu Radio and Television University. In 2012, Laiwu Health Workers Secondary Professional School was incorporated into the college as a whole. Its educational history can be traced back to Laiwu Normal School founded in 1952. The college has always adhered to cultivating talents for the Party and the country, with the orientation of serving Jinan, radiating Shandong, focusing on engineering and developing multiple disciplines, cultivating high-skilled talents, and building a leading high-level modern vocational college. Its talent training goal is that everyone can become talented, employed, and outstanding.

学校是山东省首批技能型人才培养特色名校、山东省优质高等职业院校、山东省文明校园，设有智能制造系、智能汽车与建筑工程系等11个系部，44个招生专业，面向13个省（自治区）招生，全日制在校生14000余人。学校聚焦“金专业”建设，建成5个国家骨干专业、3个省级高水平专业群、13个省级特色专业和示范专业，构建起以“一古一新一制药”（文物修复与保护、粉末冶金新材料智能制造、生物制药技术）3个高水平专业群为龙头的专业体系。

The college is one of the first batch of characteristic schools for skill-based talent training in Shandong Province, a high-quality higher vocational college in Shandong Province, and a civilized campus in Shandong Province. It has 11 departments including the Department of Intelligent Manufacturing, Department of Intelligent Automobile and Architectural Engineering, etc., offering 44 enrollment majors and enrolling students from 13 provinces (autonomous regions), with more than 14,000 full-time students. Focusing on the construction of "golden majors", the college has built 5 national key majors, 3 provincial high-level professional groups, 13 provincial characteristic majors and demonstration majors, forming a professional system led by 3 high-level professional groups of "one ancient, one new, one pharmaceutical" (cultural relics restoration and protection, powder metallurgy new material intelligent manufacturing, biopharmaceutical technology).

近年来，学校深化产教融合、校企合作，牵头组建多个职业教育集团和产教联合体，与中国重汽、泰康之家等企业共建特色项目，学生在国家级和省级各类大赛中共获奖1000余项。学校还建有2个国家级协同创新中心、1个山东省粉末冶金先进制造重点实验室等科研平台，获国家专利953项，其中发明专利159项，“十三五”期间专利转让率在全国高职院校中位居第一。

In recent years, the college has deepened industry-education integration and school-enterprise cooperation, led the establishment of multiple vocational education groups and industry-education consortia, and co-built characteristic projects with enterprises such as China National Heavy Duty Truck Group and Taikang Home. Students have won more than 1,000 awards in various national and provincial competitions. The college also has 2 national collaborative innovation centers, 1 Shandong Key Laboratory of Advanced Powder Metallurgy Manufacturing and other scientific research platforms, and has obtained 953 national patents, including 159 invention patents. During the "13th Five-Year Plan" period, the patent transfer rate ranked first among national vocational colleges.
