柳州工学院创建于2002年，前身为广西科技大学鹿山学院，由柳州市人民政府与广西科技大学共同举办。2020年4月，学校经教育部批准转设为由广西壮族自治区教育厅主管，柳州市委、市政府主办，市属国有企业全额举办的民办普通全日制本科高校，更名为柳州工学院。

Liuzhou Institute of Technology was founded in 2002, formerly known as Lushan College of Guangxi University of Science and Technology, co-sponsored by the Liuzhou Municipal People's Government and Guangxi University of Science and Technology. In April 2020, approved by the Ministry of Education, the school was transformed into a private full-time undergraduate college supervised by the Education Department of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, sponsored by the Liuzhou Municipal Party Committee and Municipal Government, and fully funded by municipal state-owned enterprises, and renamed Liuzhou Institute of Technology.

学校位于广西工业重镇、历史文化名城柳州市，校园占地面积1283.21亩，总建筑面积42.54万平方米，总投资逾17亿元人民币，教学科研设备值总量超过1.5亿元。拥有配套设施先进的教学与实验实训楼群，建设有基础实验中心、金工实习中心、各专业实验实训室、仿真实验实训中心等200余个实践教学平台，图书资源总量约213.76万册。

The school is located in Liuzhou, an important industrial town and famous historical and cultural city in Guangxi. The campus covers an area of 1283.21 mu, with a total construction area of 425,400 square meters, a total investment of more than 1.7 billion yuan, and the total value of teaching and research equipment exceeds 150 million yuan. It has advanced teaching and experimental training buildings with supporting facilities, more than 200 practical teaching platforms such as basic experiment center, metalworking practice center, professional experiment and training rooms, simulation experiment and training center, with a total of about 2.1376 million books in the library resources.

学校坚持党管人才，深入实施人才强校战略，拥有百千万人才工程国家级人选、享受国务院政府特殊津贴专家、国家级教学名师、国家有突出贡献中青年专家、全国技术能手、第一批广西高层次人才等一批师德高尚、业务精湛、结构合理、充满活力的高水平师资队伍。现有专任教师约700人，其中82.84%具有博士、硕士学位，42.86%具有高级职称。

The school adheres to the Party's management of talents and in-depth implementation of the talent-strong school strategy. It has a group of high-level faculty with noble morality, exquisite professional skills, reasonable structure and vitality, including national candidates for the Hundred, Thousand and Ten Thousand Talents Project, experts enjoying special government allowances from the State Council, national teaching masters, young and middle-aged experts with outstanding contributions from the state, national technical experts, and the first batch of high-level talents in Guangxi. There are about 700 full-time teachers, of whom 82.84% have doctoral or master's degrees and 42.86% have senior professional titles.

学校立足柳州，服务广西，辐射全国，面向东盟，紧密结合区域经济与社会发展需要，坚持差异化特色化发展之路，形成了多学科协调发展的办学格局，现有8个二级学院（机械工程学院、汽车工程学院、土木建筑工程学院、信息科学与工程学院、经济管理学院、设计艺术学院、语言文化与国际教育学院、食品与化学工程学院），3个教学部（公共基础教学部、马克思主义学院、体育教学部），开设47个本科专业，面向全国27个省（自治区、直辖市）招生，全日制本科在校生人数逾12000人。

Based in Liuzhou, serving Guangxi, radiating the whole country and facing ASEAN, the school closely meets the needs of regional economic and social development, adheres to the path of differentiated and characteristic development, and has formed a school-running pattern of multi-disciplinary coordinated development. Currently, there are 8 secondary colleges (School of Mechanical Engineering, School of Automotive Engineering, School of Civil Engineering and Architecture, School of Information Science and Engineering, School of Economics and Management, School of Design and Art, School of Language, Culture and International Education, School of Food and Chemical Engineering), 3 teaching departments (Department of Public Basic Teaching, School of Marxism, Department of Physical Education), offering 47 undergraduate majors, enrolling students from 27 provinces (autonomous regions and municipalities directly under the Central Government) across the country, with more than 12,000 full-time undergraduate students.

近年来，学校不断深化教育教学改革，逐步建立起了以校企合作、产教融合为核心的协同育人体系。学校各二级学院先后成立了校企合作理事会及校企合作教学指导委员会，与国内180多家企业签署了校企合作协议并成立校外实习实训基地，行业、企业专家深度参与学校教学的各个环节。

In recent years, the school has continuously deepened education and teaching reform, and gradually established a collaborative education system with school-enterprise cooperation and industry-education integration as the core. The secondary colleges of the school have successively established school-enterprise cooperation councils and school-enterprise cooperation teaching steering committees, signed school-enterprise cooperation agreements with more than 180 domestic enterprises and established off-campus internship and training bases, and industry and enterprise experts deeply participate in all aspects of school teaching.

学生在国内外大学生数学建模竞赛、全国大学生机器人大赛、全国大学生电子设计竞赛中，获得全国一等奖、二等奖等荣誉百余项。学生自行设计、制作的赛车，多次代表中国大学生车队，参与国际大学生方程式汽车大赛并获佳绩。在全国机械设计创新大赛、中国互联网+大学生创新创业大赛、全国大学生艺术展演等各级各类竞赛中，我校学生共获全国性奖项1000余项。

Students have won more than 100 national first prizes, second prizes and other honors in domestic and international college students' mathematical modeling competitions, national college students' robot competitions, and national college students' electronic design competitions. The racing cars designed and made by students themselves have represented Chinese college student teams many times in the International Formula Student Competition and achieved good results. In various competitions such as the National Mechanical Design Innovation Competition, China Internet + College Students Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition, and National College Students Art Exhibition, students of our school have won more than 1,000 national awards.
