兰州石化职业技术大学坐落在中国陆域版图的几何中心、美丽的黄河之滨——金城兰州。学校与新中国第一座现代化炼油厂和第一座化学工业基地相伴而生，办学历史可追溯到创建于1956年的石油部兰州石油学校和化工部兰州化工学校以及兰炼职工大学、兰化职工大学，1999年转制为甘肃省第一所独立设置的公办高等职业技术学院。2021年5月，经教育部批准，整合相关院校办学资源，设置公办本科层次的兰州石化职业技术大学。

Lanzhou Petrochemical University of Vocational Technology is located in Lanzhou, the geometric center of China's territory and the beautiful bank of the Yellow River. The university was born alongside New China's first modern oil refinery and first chemical industry base. Its educational history can be traced back to the Lanzhou Petroleum School (affiliated to the Ministry of Petroleum) and Lanzhou Chemical School (affiliated to the Ministry of Chemical Industry), as well as Lanlian Staff University and Lanhua Staff University, all founded in 1956. In 1999, it was transformed into Gansu's first independently established public higher vocational and technical college. In May 2021, with the approval of the Ministry of Education, it integrated the educational resources of relevant institutions and was established as a public undergraduate-level vocational and technical university.

学校有西固校区、兰州新区校区、白银校区，占地面积2600余亩，生均教学科研仪器设备值2.01万元，图书260余万册。建有校内实训基地85个、校外实训实习基地238个，其中，国家级生产型实训基地6个、国家级虚拟仿真中心1个。学校现有全日制在校生28000余人，其中首届本科生招生800人。有教职员工1210人，其中专任教师1106人，具有高级职称教师480人（教授113人，含二级教授6人），硕士以上学位教师580人（博士48人），双师型教师650人。

The university has three campuses: Xigu Campus, Lanzhou New Area Campus, and Baiyin Campus, covering an area of more than 2,600 mu. The value of teaching and research instruments and equipment per student is 20,100 yuan, and there are more than 2.6 million books in the library. It has 85 on-campus training bases and 238 off-campus internship bases, including 6 national-level production-oriented training bases and 1 national-level virtual simulation center. The university currently has more than 28,000 full-time students, including 800 first-year undergraduates. There are 1,210 faculty members, including 1,106 full-time teachers, 480 with senior professional titles (113 professors, including 6 second-level professors), 580 with master's degrees or above (48 doctors), and 650 dual-qualified teachers.
