马鞍山师范高等专科学校始建于1958年，其办学主体前身为马鞍山市师范学校，校史可追溯至1946年创办的和县简易师范学校。2004年5月，经教育部批准独立升格为公办普通师范高等专科学校；2011年以优秀等次通过高职高专人才培养工作评估；2015年获准立项建设“安徽省地方技能型高水平大学”；2020年入选安徽省联合培养专升本学生高职（专科）院校，试点本科阶段教育人才培养；2021年获批安徽省第四批“三全育人”综合试点改革高校；2023年入选安徽省“双高计划”建设单位。

Maanshan Teacher's College was founded in 1958, with its main predecessor being Maanshan Normal School, and its school history can be traced back to Hexian Simple Normal School founded in 1946. In May 2004, it was approved by the Ministry of Education to be independently upgraded to a public ordinary normal college; in 2011, it passed the talent training evaluation for higher vocational colleges with excellent grades; in 2015, it was approved to establish the "Anhui Provincial Local Skilled High-level University"; in 2020, it was selected as a higher vocational (junior college) institution for joint training of undergraduate students in Anhui Province, piloting talent training at the undergraduate level; in 2021, it was approved as the fourth batch of "Three-All Education" comprehensive pilot reform universities in Anhui Province; in 2023, it was selected as a construction unit of the "Double High Plan" in Anhui Province.

学校现有雨山校区（安徽省马鞍山市雨山区湖西中路85号）和滨江校区（安徽省马鞍山市和县禹锡南路369号）两个校区，校园规划占地面积约843.25亩，总建筑面积27.66万平方米。学校设有教师教育学院、外国语学院、艺术设计学院、经济与管理学院、计算机与信息工程学院、食品工程学院等多个教学单位，开设涵盖教师教育、艺术设计、经济管理、信息技术、食品工程等领域的47个高职专科专业，全日制在校生万余人。

The college currently has two campuses: Yushan Campus (No. 85, Huxi Middle Road, Yushan District, Maanshan City, Anhui Province) and Binjiang Campus (No. 369, Yuxi South Road, Hexian County, Maanshan City, Anhui Province). The planned campus covers an area of about 843.25 mu, with a total construction area of 276,600 square meters. The college has multiple teaching units such as the School of Teacher Education, School of Foreign Languages, School of Art and Design, School of Economics and Management, School of Computer and Information Engineering, and School of Food Engineering, offering 47 higher vocational majors covering teacher education, art design, economic management, information technology, food engineering and other fields, with more than 10,000 full-time students.
