牡丹江医科大学是黑龙江省东南部地区唯一一所省属普通本科医药院校，坐落于黑龙江省东南部重要的中心城市和风景旅游城市——牡丹江市。学校历史溯源于1946年始建的牡丹江专区医院和1956年始建的黑龙江省卫生干部进修学校，1958年创建牡丹江医学院，著名历史学家郭沫若先生题写了校名。2024年5月经教育部批准同意，更名为牡丹江医科大学。学校1958年开始本科教育，2013年获硕士学位授予权，是全国首批卓越医生教育培训计划项目试点高校、黑龙江省特色应用型本科示范高校首批建设单位。

Mudanjiang Medical University is the only provincial public undergraduate medical college in the southeastern region of Heilongjiang Province, located in Mudanjiang, an important central city and scenic tourist city in southeastern Heilongjiang Province. The university traces its roots to the Mudanjiang Prefectural Hospital founded in 1946 and the Heilongjiang Provincial Health Cadre Training School established in 1956. In 1958, Mudanjiang Medical College was founded, with the school name inscribed by the famous historian Guo Moruo. With the approval of the Ministry of Education in May 2024, it was renamed Mudanjiang Medical University. The university started undergraduate education in 1958 and obtained the right to grant master's degrees in 2013. It is one of the first pilot universities for the National Excellent Doctor Education and Training Program and a founding member of Heilongjiang Province's Characteristic Applied Undergraduate Demonstration Universities.

学校学科专业特色鲜明，开设临床医学、医学影像技术、制药工程等23个本科专业，涵盖医学、理学、工学和管理学4个学科门类。临床医学学科于2023年首次进入ESI全球排名前1%，医学影像学是国家级特色专业和省重点专业。现有国家级一流本科课程5门，省级一流本科课程11门，直属附属医院2所、非直属附属医院6所，教学实践基地遍布全国主要城市100余家。图书馆馆藏纸质图书107.8万余册，电子图书75.79万余册，为教学科研提供有力支撑。

The university boasts distinctive disciplines and specialties, offering 23 undergraduate programs including Clinical Medicine, Medical Imaging Technology, and Pharmaceutical Engineering, covering four disciplines: medicine, science, engineering, and management. The Clinical Medicine discipline entered the top 1% of ESI global rankings for the first time in 2023, and Medical Imaging is a national-level characteristic specialty and provincial key specialty. The university has 5 national first-class undergraduate courses and 11 provincial first-class undergraduate courses, 2 directly affiliated hospitals, 6 non-directly affiliated hospitals, and over 100 teaching practice bases in major cities across China. The library houses more than 1.078 million printed books and 757,900 e-books, providing strong support for teaching and research.
