Middle East Technical University (METU/ODTU) is a public technological university located in Ankara, Turkey. Established on November 15, 1956, under the name of Middle East Technical Institute, it is one of the most important universities in Turkey. Its key disciplines are engineering and natural sciences, with English as the medium of instruction, and it has over 95,000 alumni worldwide.

The main campus covers an area of approximately 11,100 acres (4,500 hectares), including about 7,500 acres (3,000 hectares) of forest, with well-equipped academic and auxiliary facilities. It offers 40 undergraduate programs across five faculties and 97 master's and 62 doctoral programs through five graduate schools. More than one-third of the top 1,000 students in Turkey's national college entrance exam choose to enroll here.
