闽江师范高等专科学校是由福州市人民政府举办的全日制公办普通高等专科学校，是一所具有百余年师范办学历史的老校，其前身为创办于1903年被誉为“闽师之源”的全闽师范学堂。在一个多世纪的办学历史中，培养了冰心、林默涵、邓拓、翁良毓等许多享誉海内外的专家学者、仁人志士，以及时代楷模吕榕麟等千名校长、万名教师，培养了一代代表演艺术家和全国道德模范王锦萍等众多高素质技术技能人才，为经济社会发展作出了积极贡献。习近平总书记任福州市委书记期间曾为该校题词“严谨治学，桃李芬芳”。

Minjiang Normal College is a full-time public ordinary higher vocational college sponsored by the Fuzhou Municipal People's Government. It is an old school with a teacher education history of more than 100 years, formerly known as Quanmin Normal School founded in 1903, which is known as the "source of Fujian normal education". During more than a century of school-running history, it has cultivated many renowned experts, scholars, people with lofty ideals at home and abroad such as Bing Xin, Lin Mohan, Deng Tuo, Weng Liangyu, as well as thousands of principals and teachers like Lü Ronglin, a model of the times, and a generation of performing artists and many high-quality technical and skilled talents such as Wang Jinping, a national moral model, making positive contributions to economic and social development. When General Secretary Xi Jinping was Secretary of the Fuzhou Municipal Party Committee, he inscribed "rigorous scholarship, peaches and plums fragrance" for the college.

学校是全国首批健康学校、福建省文明校园、福建省示范性现代职业院校、福建省高水平职业院校和专业建设计划建设单位、福建省创新创业创造教育示范院校建设单位，发展潜力排名高居全省高职院校前列。现有旗山校区、仓山校区、甘蔗校区、福清校区、光禄坊校区、工业路校区六个校区，占地1042.39亩，建筑面积39.3万平方米。设有教学单位12个，7个直属管理单位以及2个指导单位，并立项建设附属中学1所。开设师范类、工科类、艺术类、医护类专业38个，全日制在校生10000余人、非全日制在校生4000余人，培训学员年均2万人。

The college is among the first batch of national health schools, a civilized campus in Fujian Province, a model modern vocational college in Fujian Province, a construction unit of Fujian Provincial High-level Vocational Colleges and Professional Construction Plan, and a construction unit of Fujian Provincial Innovation and Entrepreneurship Education Demonstration College, with its development potential ranking among the top vocational colleges in the province. It currently has six campuses: Qishan Campus, Cangshan Campus, Ganzhe Campus, Fuqing Campus, Guanglufang Campus and Gongye Road Campus, covering an area of 1042.39 mu with a building area of 393,000 square meters. There are 12 teaching units, 7 directly affiliated management units and 2 guiding units, and one affiliated middle school is approved to be built. It offers 38 majors in normal education, engineering, art, medical care, etc., with more than 10,000 full-time students, more than 4,000 part-time students, and an average of 20,000 training participants annually.
