南昌师范学院是江西省最早创办的八所本科高校之一，现有昌北、青山湖两个校区，是首批国家语言文字推广基地、国家级节约型公共机构示范单位、全国党建工作样板支部培育创建单位，获国家通用语言文字推广普及先进集体、第七届中国国际互联网大学生创新创业大赛金奖。其前身是1952年成立的江西省中等师资进修学校，历经多次更名与发展，2013年4月经教育部批准改制更名为南昌师范学院，2019年通过教育部本科教学工作合格评估，2022年1月被列为江西省十四五新增硕士学位授予立项重点建设单位。

Nanchang Normal University is one of the earliest eight undergraduate universities founded in Jiangxi Province, with two campuses in Changbei and Qingshanhu. It is among the first batch of National Language Promotion Bases, a National Model Unit for Economical Public Institutions, and a cultivation and creation unit for national party building work model branches. The university has been awarded the Advanced Collective for the Promotion and Popularization of National Common Language and Characters, and the Gold Award in the 7th China International Internet+ College Students Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition. Its predecessor was the Jiangxi Provincial Secondary Teacher Training School established in 1952. After several name changes and developments, it was renamed Nanchang Normal University with the approval of the Ministry of Education in April 2013. In 2019, it passed the undergraduate teaching qualification assessment of the Ministry of Education, and in January 2022, it was listed as a key construction unit for adding master's degree authorization during the 14th Five-Year Plan period in Jiangxi Province.

学校坚守为党育人、为国育才的初心使命，秉承“厚德修身、博学育人”校训，确立“以学生为中心、以需求为导向、以质量为根本”的办学理念。现有12个教学学院、1个附属教育集团，开设30个本科专业，覆盖教育、艺术、管理、理、文、工、法等7个学科门类，全日制在校本科生1.5万余人。拥有国家一流本科专业建设点1个（学前教育）、国家级一流本科课程3门，省级一流本科专业建设点3个、省级重点学科2个。师资队伍中，享受国务院特殊津贴专家等国家级人才3人，省级人才工程入选者30余人次，聘请欧阳自远院士等60余人担任荣誉（客座、兼职）教授。

Adhering to the original mission of cultivating talents for the Party and the country, the university upholds the school motto of "Cultivating Morality and Self-cultivation, Erudition and Education", and establishes the educational philosophy of "student-centered, demand-oriented, and quality-oriented". It currently has 12 teaching colleges and 1 affiliated education group, offering 30 undergraduate majors covering 7 disciplines including education, art, management, science, literature, engineering, and law, with more than 15,000 full-time undergraduate students. The university has 1 national first-class undergraduate major construction site (Preschool Education), 3 national first-class undergraduate courses, 3 provincial first-class undergraduate major construction sites, and 2 provincial key disciplines. Among the faculty, there are 3 national-level talents such as experts enjoying special government allowances from the State Council, more than 30 provincial-level talent project winners, and more than 60 renowned experts and scholars including Academician Ouyang Ziyuan employed as honorary (visiting or part-time) professors.

学校坚持红色基因价值引领，构建“五青”思想政治工作金色名牌和“双师双红”党建金典品牌，是江西省文明校园、江西省三全育人综合改革试点高校。聚焦人才培养目标，形成“四有一满足”“四有亮四色”“五师融五范”的育人特色，15个师范类专业全部通过认证并获教师资格证免试认定资格。建有旅游实训基地、5G智慧VR教室等特色教学场地，在逻辑史、书院史等学科领域涌现出周文英等一批全国知名专家学者，为基础教育和地方经济社会发展培养了大批优秀人才。

The university adheres to the value guidance of red genes, constructs the "Five Youth" golden brand for ideological and political work and the "Double Teachers and Double Reds" golden classic brand for party building. It is a civilized campus in Jiangxi Province and a pilot university for the comprehensive reform of "Three Full Education" in Jiangxi Province. Focusing on talent cultivation goals, it has formed the educational characteristics of "Four Haves and One Satisfaction", "Four Haves and Four Colors", and "Five Teachers Integrating Five Models". All 15 normal majors have passed certification and obtained the qualification for exemption from the teacher qualification certificate. It has built characteristic teaching venues such as tourism training bases and 5G smart VR classrooms. A number of nationally renowned experts and scholars such as Zhou Wenying have emerged in disciplines such as the history of logic and the history of academies, cultivating a large number of outstanding talents for basic education and local economic and social development.
