宁波大学科学技术学院是国家教育部和浙江省人民政府批准设立、实施本科层次学历教育的全日制普通高等学校。学院成立于1999年4月，是浙江省首家进行高校体制改革试点的国有民办二级学院；2004年11月经国家教育部确认为浙江省首批独立学院，同年12月通过教育部办学条件和教学工作专项检查并获最高等级评价。2010年被授予首批全国先进独立学院荣誉称号，2018年7月顺利通过浙江省独立学院规范设置验收，2019年9月整体从宁波市镇海区迁址慈溪市办学，2024年位列校友会中国独立学院排行榜第4名。

Ningbo University College of Science and Technology is a full-time ordinary higher education institution approved by the Ministry of Education of China and the People's Government of Zhejiang Province, offering undergraduate-level academic education. Founded in April 1999, it was the first state-owned private secondary college in Zhejiang Province to pilot university system reform. In November 2004, it was confirmed by the Ministry of Education as one of the first independent colleges in Zhejiang Province, and in December of the same year, it passed the special inspection on school-running conditions and teaching work by the Ministry of Education with the highest rating. In 2010, it was awarded the honorary title of one of the first National Advanced Independent Colleges. In July 2018, it successfully passed the standardized setting acceptance of independent colleges in Zhejiang Province. In September 2019, it relocated from Zhenhai District to Cixi City in Ningbo, and ranked 4th in the Alumni Association China Independent College Rankings in 2024.

学院设有人文学院、信息工程学院、经法学院、管理学院、设计艺术学院、生命科学与材料化学学院、机械工程与自动化学院、建筑工程学院、基础学院/马克思主义学院和继续教育学院等10个二级学院，46个本科专业，涵盖经济学、法学、教育学、文学、管理学、理学、工学、医学、艺术学等9大学科门类，现有全日制在校生近1.5万名。学院坚持“学生为本”的办学理念，着力培养“自主学习能力强和实践能力强”的“两强”应用型本科人才，已累计为社会输送四万多名优秀学子，毕业生就业率、学科竞赛成果等连续在同类院校中名列前茅。

The college has 10 secondary colleges, including the College of Humanities, College of Information Engineering, College of Economics and Law, College of Management, College of Design and Art, College of Life Sciences and Materials Chemistry, College of Mechanical Engineering and Automation, College of Civil Engineering, Basic College/Marxism College, and Continuing Education College, offering 46 undergraduate majors covering 9 disciplines such as economics, law, education, literature, management, science, engineering, medicine, and art. It has nearly 15,000 full-time students. Adhering to the student-oriented educational philosophy, the college focuses on cultivating application-oriented undergraduate talents with "strong autonomous learning ability and strong practical ability", and has accumulated over 40,000 outstanding graduates for the society. The employment rate of graduates and achievements in discipline competitions have been among the top in similar institutions for consecutive years.

自迁建慈溪以来，学院主动融入地方经济，探索实践“双轮驱动”的产教融合发展模式，通过建设现代产业学院和应用研究院为应用型建设提供驱动力。与公牛、新海等龙头企业共建产业学院10个、特色产业班16个、实践基地355个，成立宁波市小家电智能制造产教融合联盟，获批省级产教融合平台项目“大满贯”及教育部产学协同育人项目47项。国际化办学方面，与美国、西班牙等50余所高校（机构）建立合作，广告学专业中外合作办学项目获教育部批准，小家电XIN电商丝路学院入选浙江省“一带一路”丝路学院。

Since relocating to Cixi, the college has actively integrated into the local economy and explored the "dual-drive" industry-education integration development model, providing impetus for application-oriented construction through the establishment of modern industrial colleges and application research institutes. It has jointly established 10 industrial colleges, 16 characteristic industrial classes, and 355 practice bases with leading enterprises such as Bull and Xinhai, established the Ningbo Small Household Appliance Intelligent Manufacturing Industry-Education Integration Alliance, and obtained a "grand slam" of provincial industry-education integration platform projects and 47 industry-education collaborative education projects approved by the Ministry of Education. In terms of international education, it has established cooperation with more than 50 universities (institutions) in the United States, Spain, etc. The Sino-foreign cooperative education project for the Advertising major has been approved by the Ministry of Education, and the Small Household Appliance XIN E-commerce Silk Road College was selected as a Zhejiang Provincial "the Belt and Road" Silk Road College.
