东北林业大学是一所以林科为优势、林业工程为特色的多科性大学，地处黑龙江省哈尔滨市，是国家“双一流”建设高校、国家“211工程”重点建设高校，由教育部、国家林业和草原局、黑龙江省人民政府三方共建。学校创建于1952年，前身为东北林学院，是在浙江大学农学院森林系和东北农学院森林系基础上建立的，1985年更名为东北林业大学。

Northeast Forestry University is a multidisciplinary university with forestry as its advantage and forestry engineering as its characteristic. Located in Harbin, Heilongjiang Province, it is a national "Double First-Class" construction university, a key university under the national "211 Project", and co-constructed by the Ministry of Education, the National Forestry and Grassland Administration, and the People's Government of Heilongjiang Province. Founded in 1952, the university was formerly known as Northeast Forestry College, established on the basis of the Department of Forestry of Zhejiang University College of Agriculture and the Department of Forestry of Northeast Agricultural College. It was renamed Northeast Forestry University in 1985.

学校学科实力雄厚，现有6个博士后科研流动站、8个一级学科博士点、22个一级学科硕士点、1个博士专业学位授权类别、19个硕士专业学位授权类别。林业工程、林学2个学科入选国家“双一流”建设学科名单，拥有林学、林业工程、生态学等一批国家级重点学科。学校师资队伍结构合理，现有教职工2500余人，其中中国工程院院士2人，国家杰出青年科学基金获得者、“万人计划”领军人才等国家级人才50余人。

The university has strong disciplinary strength, with 6 post-doctoral research stations, 8 first-level discipline doctoral programs, 22 first-level discipline master programs, 1 doctoral professional degree authorization category, and 19 master professional degree authorization categories. Two disciplines, Forestry Engineering and Forestry, have been selected into the national "Double First-Class" construction discipline list, and there are a number of national key disciplines such as Forestry, Forestry Engineering, and Ecology. The university has a well-structured faculty of more than 2,500 people, including 2 academicians of the Chinese Academy of Engineering, and more than 50 national-level talents such as winners of the National Outstanding Youth Science Fund and leading talents of the "Ten Thousand Talents Program".

学校始终坚持立德树人根本任务，致力于培养高素质创新型人才，已为国家培养各类毕业生30余万人。校园占地136公顷，拥有帽儿山实验林场（面积26,500公顷）和凉水实验林场（面积6,376公顷）等教学、科研、实习基地，为人才培养和科学研究提供了优越条件。学校积极开展国际交流与合作，与30多个国家和地区的100余所高校及研究机构建立了合作关系，在林业教育、科研领域的国际影响力不断提升。

The campus covers an area of 136 hectares, and has teaching, scientific research, and internship bases such as Maoershan Experimental Forest Farm (covering an area of 26,500 hectares) and Liangshui Experimental Forest Farm (covering an area of 6,376 hectares), providing superior conditions for talent training and scientific research.
