南京工业职业技术大学毗邻著名的钟山风景区，是一所历史悠久、底蕴厚重的百年名校。前身是我国近现代民主革命家、社会活动家、教育家黄炎培先生创建于1918年的中华职业学校——我国第一所以职业冠名的学校。1952年，黄炎培出任政务院副总理兼首任轻工业部部长，将学校交由轻工业部管理；1954年，更名为上海机械学校；1960年，整体搬迁至南京，更名为轻工业部南京机电学校；1998年，由轻工业部划归江苏省管理；1999年，升格为高等职业院校，更名为南京工业职业技术学院；2019年，升格为职业本科学校，暂定名为南京工业职业技术学院（本科）；2020年6月，经教育部批准更名为南京工业职业技术大学。百年传承、薪火相继，学校培养了张闻天、华罗庚、江竹筠、徐伯昕、朱森林、秦怡、顾心怿、王世绩、邹世昌等一批杰出校友及大批实用型技术人才。

Nanjing Vocational University of Industry and Technology is adjacent to the famous Zhongshan Scenic Area and is a century-old prestigious school with a long history and profound heritage. Its predecessor was the Chinese Vocational School founded in 1918 by Mr. Huang Yanpei, a modern democratic revolutionary, social activist, and educator in China—the first school named after "vocational" in China. In 1952, Huang Yanpei served as Vice Premier of the Government Administration Council and the first Minister of the Ministry of Light Industry, and the school was placed under the management of the Ministry of Light Industry; in 1954, it was renamed Shanghai Mechanical School; in 1960, it was relocated to Nanjing as a whole and renamed Nanjing Electrical and Mechanical School of the Ministry of Light Industry; in 1998, it was transferred to the management of Jiangsu Province from the Ministry of Light Industry; in 1999, it was upgraded to a higher vocational college and renamed Nanjing Institute of Industry Technology; in 2019, it was upgraded to a vocational undergraduate school, tentatively named Nanjing Institute of Industry Technology (Undergraduate); in June 2020, it was renamed Nanjing Vocational University of Industry and Technology with the approval of the Ministry of Education. With a century of inheritance and passing on the torch, the school has cultivated a number of outstanding alumni such as Zhang Wentian, Hua Luogeng, Jiang Zhuyun, Xu Boxin, Zhu Senlin, Qin Yi, Gu Xinyi, Wang Shiji, Zou Shichang, and a large number of practical technical talents.

学校现有仙林、中山、天堂、龙袍（规划）四校区，占地面积1360亩，建筑面积46万平方米；教学仪器设备值约3.4亿元；图书150万册；设有38个本科专业。全日制在校生21136人，其中，本科生20073人。来华留学生260人。教职员工1205人，专任教师中具有博士学位的教师占44.2%，高级职称教师占45.9%，双师型教师占92%以上。学校高度重视人才队伍建设，加大引才用才力度。拥有以全国黄大年式教师团队为代表的国家级教师团队8个，省级教学和科技创新团队32个，全国技术能手11人，国家特殊人才支持计划教学名师、国务院特贴、省名师、省级333工程培养对象、青蓝工程培养对象、六大人才高峰培养对象、双创博士、紫金文化创意人才、社科优青、南京市劳模、南京市五一劳动奖章、南京市十佳职教教师等300余人。教育部高等学校教学指导委员会委员2人、全国行业职业教育教学指导委员会委员15人（其中副主任委员5人）。

The school currently has four campuses: Xianlin, Zhongshan, Tiantang, and Longpao (planning), covering an area of 1360 mu, with a building area of 460,000 square meters; the value of teaching instruments and equipment is about 340 million yuan; 1.5 million books; and 38 undergraduate majors. There are 21,136 full-time students, including 20,073 undergraduates. There are 260 international students from abroad. There are 1,205 faculty members, among whom 44.2% have doctoral degrees, 45.9% have senior professional titles, and more than 92% are double-qualified teachers. The school attaches great importance to the construction of talent teams and increases efforts to attract and employ talents. It has 8 national-level teacher teams represented by the national Huang Danian-style teacher team, 32 provincial-level teaching and scientific and technological innovation teams, 11 national technical experts, national special talent support program teaching masters, State Council special allowances, provincial famous teachers, provincial-level 333 project training objects, Qinglan project training objects, six major talent peak training objects, double-creation doctors, Zijin cultural and creative talents, social science outstanding youths, Nanjing model workers, Nanjing May 1st Labor Medal, Nanjing Top Ten Vocational Education Teachers, etc., totaling more than 300 people. There are 2 members of the Teaching Steering Committee of Colleges and Universities of the Ministry of Education, and 15 members of the National Industry Vocational Education Teaching Steering Committee (including 5 deputy directors).

学校持续推进教育教学改革，探索和完善服务两个高端的三性一体化高层次技术技能人才培养模式。智能制造工程技术和人工智能工程技术入选中国特色高水平高职学校专业建设计划；主持参与国家级教学成果奖7项，其中一等奖3项；获全国教材建设奖3项，其中一等奖1项、先进集体1项。主持建设第一批国家级职业教育专业教学资源库项目4个、中央财政支持的职业教育实训基地3个、国家精品课程、精品资源共享课和在线精品课程15门、全国课程思政示范课程2门、国家规划教材70部；中国国际大学生创新大赛金奖12项，银奖6项、铜奖14项。全国职业院校技能大赛一等奖39项、全国大学生数学建模竞赛一等奖18项、全国大学生电子设计竞赛一等奖13项、全国职业院校技能大赛教学能力比赛一等奖3项，全国高校教师教学创新大赛一等奖1项。

The school continues to promote education and teaching reform, and explores and improves the three-in-one high-level technical and skilled talent training model that serves two high-ends. Intelligent Manufacturing Engineering Technology and Artificial Intelligence Engineering Technology were selected into the professional construction plan of high-level vocational schools with Chinese characteristics; presided over and participated in 7 national teaching achievement awards, including 3 first prizes; won 3 national teaching material construction awards, including 1 first prize and 1 advanced collective. It has presided over the construction of 4 first batch of national vocational education professional teaching resource database projects, 3 vocational education training bases supported by the central finance, 15 national excellent courses, excellent resource sharing courses and online excellent courses, 2 national curriculum ideological and political demonstration courses, and 70 national planning textbooks; 12 gold awards, 6 silver awards and 14 bronze awards in the China International College Student Innovation Competition. 39 first prizes in the National Vocational College Skills Competition, 18 first prizes in the National College Student Mathematical Modeling Competition, 13 first prizes in the National College Student Electronic Design Competition, 3 first prizes in the National Vocational College Skills Competition Teaching Ability Competition, and 1 first prize in the National College Teachers' Teaching Innovation Competition.

学校坚持走产教融合、校企合作之路，持续提升科研和社会服务能力。主持国家级项目23项、省部级项目58项；联合龙头企业、高水平大学、研究机构、职业院校和行业组织等成立全国产教融合共同体2个，市域产教联合体2个；获批国家十三五产教融合发展工程规划项目1个、国家十四五教育强国推进工程1个、省高校重点实验室1个、省级协同创新中心1个、省级工程研究中心7个、省产教深度融合实训平台2个、省级大学科技园（国家级科技企业孵化器）1个；与32家世界500强企业建立深度合作关系，与华为、北京精雕、比亚迪、苏豪集团、西门子等领军企业建立合作平台18个。

The school adheres to the path of industry-education integration and school-enterprise cooperation, and continuously improves its scientific research and social service capabilities. It has presided over 23 national-level projects and 58 provincial-level projects; jointly established 2 national industry-education integration communities and 2 city-level industry-education consortia with leading enterprises, high-level universities, research institutions, vocational colleges and industry organizations; approved 1 national 13th Five-Year Industry-Education Integration Development Project, 1 national 14th Five-Year Education Power Promotion Project, 1 provincial key laboratory of colleges and universities, 1 provincial collaborative innovation center, 7 provincial engineering research centers, 2 provincial industry-education deep integration training platforms, and 1 provincial university science park (national science and technology enterprise incubator); established in-depth cooperative relations with 32 Fortune 500 companies, and established 18 cooperation platforms with leading enterprises such as Huawei, Beijing Jingdiao, BYD, Suhao Group, and Siemens.

学校与40多个国家（地区）的100余家境外组织和院校保持稳固的联系，学校国际化办学成果获2024年世界职业教育大奖提名奖、世界职业院校与技术大学联盟（WFCP）卓越奖应用研究与创新金奖、国家教学成果奖一等奖、江苏省教学成果奖特等奖等。2017年至2019年我校连续三年蝉联全国高职院校国际影响力50强。2019年学校建成教育部首批走出去试点项目中国-赞比亚职业技术学院南工机电分院。2020年建成全国首家中文+职业技能国际推广基地。2021年全国首家职业教育孔子学院落户学校。2023年建成中国职业教育第一所海外应用技术大学—柬华应用科技大学，入选全国十大教育新闻，在马来西亚建成全球第一批中文工坊和郑和学院。2025年，获批全国首家职教本科中外合作办学机构——南京工业职业技术大学伦敦南岸大学联合学院。牵头黄炎培职业教育思想研究院、全国高职院校创新创业教育联盟、世界职业技术教育发展联盟、中国教育国际交流协会职教分会、中国轻工业联合会高职研究会、全国机械行业现代机电技术职教集团等全国性平台6个，以及牵头江苏省轻工协会、江苏机电职教集团等全省性平台9个。

The school maintains stable contacts with more than 100 overseas organizations and institutions in more than 40 countries (regions). Its international education achievements have won the 2024 World Vocational Education Awards Nomination Award, the World Federation of Colleges and Polytechnics (WFCP) Excellence Award for Applied Research and Innovation Gold Award, the National Teaching Achievement Award First Prize, and the Jiangsu Provincial Teaching Achievement Award Special Prize. From 2017 to 2019, our school won the top 50 international influence of national vocational colleges for three consecutive years. In 2019, the school established the Nanjing Institute of Technology and Electrical Engineering Branch of China-Zambia Vocational and Technical College, the first pilot project of "going out" approved by the Ministry of Education. In 2020, it built the first national "Chinese + Vocational Skills" international promotion base. In 2021, the first vocational education Confucius Institute in China settled in the school. In 2023, it built the first overseas applied technology university for Chinese vocational education—Cambodia-China University of Applied Science and Technology, which was selected as one of the top ten national education news, and built the world's first batch of Chinese workshops and Zheng He College in Malaysia. In 2025, it was approved as the first Sino-foreign cooperative education institution for vocational undergraduate education in China—the Joint College of London South Bank University, Nanjing Vocational University of Industry and Technology. It takes the lead in 6 national platforms such as the Huang Yanpei Vocational Education Thought Research Institute, the National Vocational College Innovation and Entrepreneurship Education Alliance, the World Vocational and Technical Education Development Alliance, the Vocational Education Branch of the China Education Association for International Exchange, the Higher Vocational Research Association of the China National Light Industry Federation, and the National Machinery Industry Modern Mechanical and Electrical Technology Vocational Education Group, as well as 9 provincial platforms such as the Jiangsu Light Industry Association and the Jiangsu Mechanical and Electrical Vocational Education Group.
