内蒙古机电职业技术学院是经自治区人民政府批准、教育部备案的公办全日制普通高等学校，前身为1952年创立的内蒙古工业学校和内蒙古水利学校。学院是国家优秀骨干高职院校、国家优质专科高等职业院校，教育部首批现代学徒制试点院校，全国首批高技能人才培养示范基地，2019年入选“中国特色高水平高职学校和专业建设计划”立项建设单位。

Inner Mongolia Technical College of Mechanics & Electrics is a public full-time ordinary higher education institution approved by the People's Government of the Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region and registered with the Ministry of Education. Its predecessors are Inner Mongolia Industrial School and Inner Mongolia Water Conservancy School founded in 1952. The college is a National Excellent Key Higher Vocational College, a National High-Quality Vocational College, one of the first batch of modern apprenticeship pilot institutions of the Ministry of Education, and one of the first batch of national demonstration bases for high-skilled talents training. In 2019, it was selected as a project construction unit of the "China特色高水平高职学校和专业建设计划" (China's Higher Vocational Education Reform Development Plan).

学院位于内蒙古自治区首府呼和浩特市高职园区，新校区占地837亩，建筑面积29.17万平方米。设有机电工程系、电气工程系等7个教学系，开设52个专业，构建了以电力系统自动化技术、机械制造与自动化2个国家“双高计划”高水平专业群为龙头的专业体系。教学仪器设备总值3.94亿元，建有10个校内生产性实训基地、181个模拟仿真实训室及310个校外实训基地。

The college is located in the Higher Vocational Education Park of Hohhot, the capital of Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region. The new campus covers an area of 837 mu with a building area of 291,700 square meters. It has 7 teaching departments including the Department of Mechanical and Electrical Engineering and the Department of Electrical Engineering, offering 52 majors. It has constructed a professional system led by 2 national "Double High Plan" high-level professional groups in Power System Automation Technology and Mechanical Manufacturing and Automation. The total value of teaching instruments and equipment is 394 million yuan, with 10 on-campus productive training bases, 181 simulated training rooms and 310 off-campus training bases.
