内蒙古商贸职业学院成立于2003年5月，是内蒙古自治区人民政府举办、自治区教育厅直属的全日制公办高等职业学校，由原内蒙古商业学校（1952年建校）、内蒙古粮食学校（1956年建校）和内蒙古工业美术设计学校（1955年建校）合并升格而成。学校2018年获批自治区首批示范性高等职业院校，2019年成为国家优质专科高等职业院校和教育部首批现代学徒制试点院校，2021年入选自治区“双高计划”建设单位，2023年获批教育部第一批职业院校数字校园建设试点学校。

Inner Mongolia Vocational College of Commerce was established in May 2003. It is a full-time public higher vocational school sponsored by the People's Government of Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region and directly under the Department of Education of the Autonomous Region. It was formed by the merger and upgrading of the former Inner Mongolia Commercial School (founded in 1952), Inner Mongolia Grain School (founded in 1956) and Inner Mongolia Industrial Art Design School (founded in 1955). In 2018, the college was approved as one of the first demonstration higher vocational colleges in the autonomous region; in 2019, it became a national high-quality vocational college and one of the first modern apprenticeship pilot colleges of the Ministry of Education; in 2021, it was selected as a construction unit of the "Double High Plan" in the autonomous region; and in 2023, it was approved as one of the first vocational college digital campus construction pilot schools by the Ministry of Education.

学院位于呼和浩特市赛罕区高职园区，占地916亩，建筑面积19万平方米，现有教职工605人，全日制在校生9200余人。学校构建了市场营销、大数据与会计、酒店管理与数字化运营等8大专业群，开设47个专业，其中国家优质校骨干专业4个、自治区高水平专业群2个，形成了“立足商贸、服务区域、产教融合、特色鲜明”的办学格局。2010年牵头组建内蒙古商贸职教集团，现有理事单位187家，与英国桑德兰城市学院等海外院校开展中外合作办学，累计培养双语毕业生1500余人。

The college is located in the Higher Vocational Education Park of Saihan District, Hohhot, covering an area of 916 mu with a building area of 190,000 square meters. It currently has 605 faculty members and more than 9,200 full-time students. The college has constructed 8 major professional groups including marketing, big data and accounting, hotel management and digital operation, offering 47 majors, among which 4 are key majors of national high-quality schools and 2 are high-level professional groups in the autonomous region. This forms a school-running pattern of "based on commerce, serving the region, integrating production and education, and with distinct characteristics". In 2010, it took the lead in establishing the Inner Mongolia Vocational Education Group for Commerce, which now has 187 governing units. It also carries out Sino-foreign cooperative education with overseas institutions such as Sunderland City College in the UK, having cultivated more than 1,500 bilingual graduates.
