南京师范大学泰州学院成立于2004年6月，是经教育部批准设立，由国家“双一流”建设高校、江苏高水平大学建设高校南京师范大学和泰州市人民政府共同举办的全日制普通本科高校。学校依托名城、名校，滋养于泰州深厚的历史文化底蕴，继承与弘扬南京师范大学“厚生”精神，遵循“蕴德论道、励学力行”的校训，形成了“明德、尚学、创新、和谐”的校风，建成了泰州历史上第一座万人本科大学。

Nanjing Normal University Taizhou College was founded in June 2004. It is a full-time ordinary undergraduate college approved by the Ministry of Education, jointly organized by Nanjing Normal University, a national "Double First-Class" construction university and a Jiangsu high-level university construction university, and the Taizhou Municipal People's Government. Relying on the famous city and prestigious university, nourished by Taizhou's profound historical and cultural heritage, the university inherits and carries forward the "Housheng" spirit of Nanjing Normal University, follows the school motto of "Cultivating Virtue and Discussing Tao, Encouraging Learning and Practicing", and has formed a school spirit of "Mingde, Shangxue, Innovation and Harmony", building the first ten-thousand-person undergraduate university in Taizhou's history.

学校占地面积660991平方米，培养以经、法、教、文、史、理、工、农、管、艺等学科门类为主的应用型本科人才，在教师教育和艺术教育上具有鲜明特色。建有12个二级学院，有经教育部备案的43个本科专业，目前在校生13106人。小学教育、生物技术、数学与应用数学三个专业被确定为江苏省一流本科专业；国际经济与贸易专业获批省级产教融合型品牌专业建设点。

The university covers an area of 660,991 square meters, cultivating applied undergraduate talents mainly in disciplines such as economics, law, education, literature, history, science, engineering, agriculture, management, and art, with distinctive characteristics in teacher education and art education. It has 12 secondary colleges and 43 undergraduate majors filed with the Ministry of Education, with 13,106 current students. Three majors, namely Primary Education, Biotechnology, and Mathematics and Applied Mathematics, have been identified as first-class undergraduate majors in Jiangsu Province; the International Economics and Trade major has been approved as a provincial industry-education integration brand major construction site.
