Novosibirsk State Technical University (NSTU) is located on the left bank of the Ob River in Novosibirsk, Russia, with convenient transportation. It is one of the largest institutions of higher education in the region. Founded on August 19, 1950, the university was formerly known as Novosibirsk Institute of Electronic Technology. It was renamed to its current name in 1992 and accredited by the Russian Federation's Higher Education Assessment Commission in 1996 as a core institution for training higher education professionals.

The university currently has 16 faculties and over 70 teaching and research sections, offering 95 undergraduate and master's programs covering technology, natural sciences, economics, humanities, and other fields. It focuses on cultivating engineering talents in automation and computer engineering, aerospace, mechanical manufacturing, electronic information, etc. According to recent data, the total number of students is over 13,200, and the teaching staff exceeds 1,500, including 101 Doctor of Sciences and professors, and 536 Candidates of Sciences and associate professors, forming a research-oriented teaching system.
