南通大学杏林学院是2005年5月经国家教育部批准成立的本科层次独立学院，2014年5月经江苏省事业单位登记管理局批准设立登记为事业单位法人。学院始建于1999年2月，前身为南通医学院杏林学院，2004年5月在原南通医学院、南通工学院和南通师范学院合并组建南通大学后，更名为南通大学杏林学院。

Nantong University Xinglin College is an undergraduate-level independent college approved by the Ministry of Education in May 2005, and was registered as an institutional legal person by the Jiangsu Provincial Institution Registration Authority in May 2014. Founded in February 1999, the college was formerly known as Xinglin College of Nantong Medical College. In May 2004, after the merger of the original Nantong Medical College, Nantong Institute of Technology, and Nantong Normal College to form Nantong University, it was renamed Nantong University Xinglin College.

学院依托南通大学的优质教育资源和办学优势，紧密结合地方经济社会需求，逐渐走出了一条特色化的办学实践之路。学院现有全日制在校本科生12700余人，设有基础学部、人文学部、理学部、经管学部、信息学部、工学部、医学部等7个学部，41个本科专业，涵盖经济学、文学、理学、工学、医学、管理学和艺术学等七大学科门类。

Relying on the high-quality educational resources and school-running advantages of Nantong University, the college has gradually developed a characteristic school-running practice path by closely integrating with local economic and social needs. The college currently has more than 12,700 full-time undergraduates, with 7 academic divisions including the Basic Studies Division, Humanities Division, Science Division, Economics and Management Division, Information Division, Engineering Division, and Medical Division, offering 41 undergraduate majors covering seven disciplines: economics, literature, science, engineering, medicine, management, and art.
