南昌理工学院（Nanchang Institute of Technology）是教育部批准设置、南昌航天科技集团出资举办的民办普通本科高校，简称“南理”，学校位于江西省南昌市国家经济技术开发区英雄大道901号，邮编330044。学校创办于1999年5月，前身为江西航天科技专修学院；2001年4月升格为江西航天科技职业学院；2005年5月经教育部批准升格为江西省首批民办本科高校，定名为南昌理工学院。

Nanchang Institute of Technology (NIT) is a private ordinary undergraduate university approved by the Ministry of Education and funded by Nanchang Aerospace Technology Group, referred to as "Nanli" for short. The university is located at No. 901, Yingxiong Avenue, National Economic and Technological Development Zone, Nanchang City, Jiangxi Province, with a postal code of 330044. Founded in May 1999, the university was formerly known as Jiangxi Aerospace Technology College; in April 2001, it was upgraded to Jiangxi Aerospace Technology Vocational College; in May 2005, it was approved by the Ministry of Education to be upgraded to the first batch of private undergraduate universities in Jiangxi Province, named Nanchang Institute of Technology.

学校是全国示范性民办高校、国防教育特色学校，2012年通过教育部本科教学合格评估，2018年通过教育部本科教学工作审核评估，2022年被列为江西省“十四五”硕士授权立项建设单位。截至2024年12月，学校占地面积约3000余亩，校舍建筑面积90余万平方米，馆藏图书文献资料341万余册，教学科研仪器设备总值2.8亿余元；下设18个教学学院，开设63个本科专业（在招53个），全日制在校生32995人，其中本科生19009人；教职工2362人，专任教师1777人。

The university is a national demonstration private university and a national defense education characteristic school. It passed the undergraduate teaching qualification assessment of the Ministry of Education in 2012, the undergraduate teaching audit assessment of the Ministry of Education in 2018, and was listed as a master's authorization project construction unit in Jiangxi Province's "14th Five-Year Plan" in 2022. As of December 2024, the university covers an area of about 3,000 mu, with a school building area of more than 900,000 square meters, a collection of more than 3.41 million books and documents, and a total value of teaching and research instruments and equipment of more than 280 million yuan; it has 18 teaching colleges, offering 63 undergraduate majors (53 in enrollment), with 32,995 full-time students, including 19,009 undergraduates; 2,362 faculty members and 1,777 full-time teachers.

学校以工学为主，工、理、文、管、经、法、艺、教、医等多学科协调发展，形成了以新能源科学与工程、电子信息工程、计算机科学与技术、飞行技术等为优势特色的学科专业体系。计算机科学与技术为国家级特色专业，新能源科学与工程、软件工程等为省级专业综合改革试点项目，电子信息工程、机械设计制造及其自动化等为省级特色专业。在2025年金平果本科院校竞争力排名中位列全国第482名，软科2025年中国民办高校排行中位列第29名。

The university focuses on engineering, with coordinated development of multiple disciplines such as engineering, science, literature, management, economics, law, art, education, and medicine, forming a discipline professional system with advantages and characteristics such as new energy science and engineering, electronic information engineering, computer science and technology, and flight technology. Computer Science and Technology is a national characteristic major, New Energy Science and Engineering, Software Engineering, etc. are provincial professional comprehensive reform pilot projects, and Electronic Information Engineering, Mechanical Design, Manufacturing and Automation are provincial characteristic majors. It ranked 482nd in the 2025 Golden Apple Undergraduate College Competitiveness Ranking and 29th in the 2025 Soft Science China Private University Ranking.
