西北师范大学是一所位于中国甘肃省兰州市的百年学府，其前身为1902年设立的京师大学堂师范馆，历经多次发展与更名，于1988年正式定名。学校以教师教育为特色，涵盖文、理、工、教、经、管、法等多学科，是甘肃省重点支持建设的高水平大学，也是国家重点支持的西部地区十四所大学之一。

Northwest Normal University is a century-old institution located in Lanzhou, Gansu Province, China. Its predecessor was the Normal School of the Imperial University of Peking established in 1902. After several developments and name changes, it was officially named in 1988. The university features teacher education and covers multiple disciplines such as arts, science, engineering, education, economics, management, and law. It is a key high-level university supported by Gansu Province and one of the 14 universities in western China supported by the state.

学校现有两个校区，总占地面积约1574亩，设有26个二级学院、82个本科专业，拥有11个博士后科研流动站、11个一级学科博士点、30个一级学科硕士点。在长期办学过程中，形成了“知术欲圆，行旨须直”的校训精神，为国家和地方培养了大批优秀人才，尤其在基础教育领域贡献卓著。

The university currently has two campuses with a total area of approximately 1574 mu. It has 26 secondary colleges, 82 undergraduate majors, 11 post-doctoral research stations, 11 first-level discipline doctoral programs, and 30 first-level discipline master programs. In the long-term办学 process, it has formed the school motto spirit of "Broad Knowledge and Straight Conduct", cultivating a large number of outstanding talents for the country and local areas, especially making remarkable contributions in the field of basic education.
