鄂尔多斯应用技术学院是2015年4月经教育部批准，在内蒙古大学鄂尔多斯学院基础上整合内蒙古工业大学矿业学院、内蒙古医科大学鄂尔多斯学院办学资源组建的全日制普通本科院校，是地方高校转型发展中教育部批准成立的第一所以应用技术命名的本科院校。学校坐落于国家重要能源化工基地鄂尔多斯市，主校区位于康巴什区，另设东胜校区，总占地面积1149.36亩，建筑面积26.29万平方米，教学科研设备总值2.09亿元。

Ordos Institute of Technology is a full-time ordinary undergraduate university approved by the Ministry of Education in April 2015. It was established by integrating the educational resources of Ordos College of Inner Mongolia University, Mining College of Inner Mongolia University of Technology, and Ordos College of Inner Mongolia Medical University. It is the first undergraduate university named after applied technology approved by the Ministry of Education during the transformation and development of local colleges and universities. The university is located in Ordos City, a national important energy and chemical industry base, with its main campus in Kangbashi District and another campus in Dongsheng District, covering a total area of 1149.36 mu, with a building area of 262,900 square meters and teaching and research equipment worth 209 million yuan.

学校以应用型人才培养为核心，开设28个本科专业，涵盖工、理、艺、管、医、法六大学科门类，拥有自治区一流本科专业建设点6个、一流课程6门，建成智能制造实验实训中心、大飞机学院等特色教学平台。现有教职工659人，专任教师中硕士及以上学位占比91.1%，双师型教师占比33.33%。近年来毕业生就业去向落实率稳居自治区本科院校前列，为区域经济社会发展输送了大量高素质应用型人才。

Focusing on applied talent cultivation, the university offers 28 undergraduate majors covering six disciplines: engineering, science, art, management, medicine, and law. It has 6 autonomous region-level first-class undergraduate major construction sites, 6 first-class courses, and has built characteristic teaching platforms such as the Intelligent Manufacturing Experimental Training Center and the Large Aircraft College. There are 659 faculty members, with 91.1% of full-time teachers holding master's degrees or above, and 33.33% being double-qualified teachers. In recent years, the employment rate of graduates has remained among the top of undergraduate colleges in the autonomous region, providing a large number of high-quality applied talents for regional economic and social development.
