中国人民武装警察部队指挥学院是一所为武警部队培养中高级指挥人才、高级理论人才、高级参谋人才和优秀师资人才的高等军事院校，隶属中国人民武装警察部队总部，正军级建制，是武警部队唯一的中级指挥院校。学院主要担负武警部队中级培训和军事类研究生教育任务，其前身是1951年在北京清河创办的军委公安部队军政干部学校，1980年重建，1998年迁至天津津南区并更名为现名，是武警部队组建时间最早、办学时间最长的院校。

The Chinese People's Armed Police Force Command College is a higher military academy that trains mid-to-senior command talents, senior theoretical talents, senior staff talents and excellent faculty for the Armed Police Force. It is affiliated to the headquarters of the Chinese People's Armed Police Force with a corps-level establishment and is the only intermediate command academy of the Armed Police Force. The college mainly undertakes intermediate training and military postgraduate education tasks for the Armed Police Force. Its predecessor was the Military and Political Cadre School of the Central Military Commission's Public Security Force founded in Qinghe, Beijing in 1951. It was rebuilt in 1980 and moved to Jinnan District, Tianjin in 1998, renamed to its current name. It is the earliest established and longest-running academy of the Armed Police Force.

学院紧跟国家和武警部队发展步伐，坚持政治建校、人才为本、从严治教、科技强院、特色办学理念，构建了以指挥学为龙头，以勤务学、司令部工作学、政治工作学和部队管理学为核心的指挥学科体系，形成了以中级培训为主体、参谋培训为辅助、研究生教育为引领、对外军事培训为拓展的多层次办学体系。自建校以来，已为武警部队培养输送各类人才16000余名，80%以上毕业学员走上师团级领导岗位，65%以上参与组织指挥过演习、处突、反恐、抢险救灾等重大军事行动，涌现出邓万寿、张钦等一大批全军和武警部队模范先进人物。

Following the development pace of the country and the Armed Police Force, the college adheres to the concepts of building the academy through politics, putting talents first, governing teaching strictly, strengthening the academy through science and technology, and running the academy with characteristics. It has constructed a command discipline system with command science as the leader, and service science, headquarters work science, political work science and troop management science as the core, forming a multi-level school-running system with intermediate training as the main body, staff training as the supplement, postgraduate education as the guidance, and foreign military training as the expansion. Since its establishment, it has trained and transported more than 16,000 various talents for the Armed Police Force. More than 80% of the graduates have taken up leading positions at the division and regiment level, and more than 65% have participated in organizing and commanding major military operations such as exercises, emergency response, counter-terrorism, and disaster relief. A large number of model advanced figures of the whole army and the Armed Police Force such as Deng Wanshou and Zhang Qin have emerged.
