中国人民武装警察部队工程大学坐落在古城西安秦阿房宫遗址上，是武警部队最早组建、最早开办本科和硕士教育、最早被确定为全军“2110工程”重点建设的高等军事院校，也是唯一具有博士学位授予权、唯一全军现代化教学工程试点、唯一指挥与技术并重、工程与管理结合、教学与科研一体的武警综合大学。学校主要担负武警部队指挥类、工程技术类干部的学历教育和任职培训任务，为武警部队培养了大批高素质军事人才。

The Engineering University of the Chinese People's Armed Police Force is located on the ruins of the ancient Qin Dynasty's Epang Palace in the ancient city of Xi'an. It is the earliest established military academy of the Armed Police Force, the first to offer undergraduate and master's education, and the first to be identified as a key construction institution under the military's "2110 Project". It is also the only comprehensive university of the Armed Police Force with doctoral degree authorization, the only pilot unit for modern military teaching engineering, and the only one that integrates command and technology, engineering and management, and teaching and research. The university mainly undertakes the academic education and on-the-job training tasks for command and engineering technical cadres of the Armed Police Force, cultivating a large number of high-quality military talents for the Armed Police Force.

学校前身为1983年经国务院、中央军委批准成立的武警技术学院，1998年9月更名为武警工程学院，2011年7月改建为武警工程大学。学校设有理学院、军事基础教育学院、装备工程学院等教学单位，拥有一支由教授、副教授及博士后、博士、硕士教员组成的高水平师资队伍，在教学科研、人才培养和服务部队建设等方面发挥着重要作用。

The university was formerly the Armed Police Technical College, approved by the State Council and the Central Military Commission in 1983. It was renamed the Armed Police Engineering College in September 1998 and restructured into the Armed Police Engineering University in July 2011. The university has teaching units such as the College of Science, the College of Military Basic Education, and the College of Equipment Engineering, and boasts a high-level faculty composed of professors, associate professors, postdoctoral fellows, doctors, and master's instructors, playing an important role in teaching and research, talent cultivation, and serving the construction of the armed forces.
