平顶山职业技术学院是一所综合类省属全日制普通高等职业院校，前身可追溯到1959年的平顶山市师范学校，2018年3月经河南省人民政府批准正式改制为现名。学校坐落于平顶山市城乡一体化示范区长安大道西段，现有新校区和园丁校区两个校区，总占地面积550余亩，校内校舍建筑面积近18.6万平方米，各级各类在校生1.7万余人。

Pingdingshan Vocational and Technical College is a comprehensive provincial full-time public higher vocational college, whose predecessor can be traced back to Pingdingshan Normal School founded in 1959. It was officially restructured into its current name with the approval of the People's Government of Henan Province in March 2018. Located in the western section of Chang'an Avenue, Urban-Rural Integration Demonstration Zone of Pingdingshan City, the college has two campuses, namely the New Campus and the Gardener Campus, covering a total area of more than 550 mu, with a school building area of nearly 186,000 square meters and more than 17,000 students at all levels.

学校设有中文系、旅游与酒店管理系、计算机系、教育系等16个教学系（部），开设54个专业，其中普通大专52个，五年制大专2个。师资力量雄厚，副高级以上职称教师83人，具有硕士以上学位教师265人，拥有河南省教学名师、骨干教师等各类优秀人才。近年来，学校获得国家级语言文字规范化示范学校、全国学校艺术教育先进单位、河南省文明校园等多项荣誉称号。

The college has 16 teaching departments including the Department of Chinese, Department of Tourism and Hotel Management, Department of Computer Science, and Department of Education, offering 54 majors, including 52 regular college majors and 2 five-year college majors. It boasts a strong teaching staff with 83 teachers of associate senior titles or above, 265 teachers with master's degree or above, and various outstanding talents such as Henan Provincial Teaching Masters and backbone teachers. In recent years, the college has won many honorary titles such as National Model School for Language Standardization, National Advanced Unit for School Art Education, and Henan Provincial Civilized Campus.
