中国人民解放军陆军装甲兵学院坐落于北京西南卢沟桥畔，隶属于中国人民解放军陆军，为军队“2110工程”重点建设院校，素有“陆战之王的摇篮”美称，是全军重点建设院校和全军首批教学优秀单位。学院的前身可追溯至1953年成立的哈尔滨军事工程学院装甲兵工程系；1961年，该系从哈尔滨整体迁址西安，组建成立装甲兵工程学院；1969年，学院从西安迁址北京；2017年，陆军装甲兵学院以原装甲兵工程学院、原装甲兵学院、原装甲兵技术学院为基础重建，辖院本部、蚌埠校区和士官学校。

The Chinese People's Liberation Army Army Armored Forces Academy is located on the bank of the Lugou Bridge in southwest Beijing. It is affiliated to the Chinese People's Liberation Army Army and is a key construction academy of the military's "2110 Project". Known as "the cradle of the king of land warfare", it is a key construction academy of the whole army and one of the first excellent teaching units of the whole army. The predecessor of the academy can be traced back to the Armored Forces Engineering Department of the Harbin Military Engineering College established in 1953; in 1961, the department was relocated from Harbin to Xi'an as a whole to form the Armored Forces Engineering College; in 1969, the college was relocated from Xi'an to Beijing; in 2017, the Army Armored Forces Academy was reconstructed on the basis of the former Armored Forces Engineering College, the former Armored Forces Academy and the former Armored Forces Technical College, governing the headquarters, Bengbu Campus and Non-Commissioned Officer School.

学院是培养装甲兵指挥、参谋、技术保障军官和指挥管理、维修保障士官的综合性高等教育院校，主要承担装甲兵生长军官高等教育、生长军官任职培训、现职军官任职培训、现职军官轮训、士官培训、研究生教育、文职人员培训和外军留学生培训等任务，同时承担陆军武器装备科研任务，是装甲兵指技俱精主战人才培养基地、军事理论和技术创新基地、新装备新战法新训法研究与试验基地。

The academy is a comprehensive higher education institution that trains armored forces commanders, staff officers, technical support officers, command management and maintenance support non-commissioned officers. It mainly undertakes tasks such as higher education for growing armored officers, post training for growing officers, post training for in-service officers, rotation training for in-service officers, non-commissioned officer training, postgraduate education, civilian personnel training and foreign military student training. At the same time, it undertakes scientific research tasks on army weapons and equipment. It is a training base for main combat talents with excellent command and technology of armored forces, a base for military theory and technological innovation, and a research and test base for new equipment, new tactics and new training methods.

学院拥有以工学和军事学为主体、多学科交叉融合的综合性学科体系，形成了覆盖装甲兵作战指挥、侦察情报、兵种战术，以及陆军主战装备机械、控制、信息、武器等全技术系统和装备论证、研制、试验、使用、维修到再制造全寿命过程的学科专业布局。在工学、管理学和军事学三个学科门类有6个博士后科研流动（工作）站，5个一级学科博士学位授权，19个博士点；6个一级学科、3个二级学科和8个专业学位硕士授权，50个硕士点；开设18个本科专业。

The academy has a comprehensive discipline system with engineering and military science as the main body and interdisciplinary integration, forming a disciplinary professional layout covering the entire technical system of armored forces combat command, reconnaissance intelligence, arms tactics, and army main battle equipment machinery, control, information, weapons, etc., as well as the entire life cycle of equipment demonstration, development, test, use, maintenance and remanufacturing. In the three disciplines of engineering, management and military science, there are 6 post-doctoral research mobile (work) stations, 5 first-level discipline doctoral degree authorizations, 19 doctoral programs; 6 first-level disciplines, 3 second-level disciplines and 8 professional degree master authorizations, 50 master programs; 18 undergraduate majors are offered.

学院师资队伍实力雄厚，现有工程院院士2人、国务院学位委员会学科评议组专家3人、何梁何利基金科学与技术进步奖获得者2人、求是奖获得者6人、新世纪百千万人才工程国家级人选4人、全国优秀科技工作者2人、全军杰出专业技术人才奖获得者6人、国家和军队有突出贡献的中青年专家4人等一批高层次人才。教学科研条件优越，建有2个国防科技重点实验室、1个国家工程中心、1个国家级实验教学示范中心、3个全军重点实验室等各类教学科研平台。

The academy has a strong faculty, including 2 academicians of the Chinese Academy of Engineering, 3 experts from the Discipline Evaluation Group of the Academic Degrees Committee of the State Council, 2 winners of the Ho Leung Ho Lee Foundation Science and Technology Progress Award, 6 winners of the Qiushi Award, 4 national candidates for the New Century Talents Project, 2 national outstanding scientific and technological workers, 6 winners of the全军 Outstanding Professional and Technical Talents Award, 4 middle-aged and young experts with outstanding contributions from the country and the army, and a number of high-level talents. The teaching and research conditions are superior, with 2 national defense science and technology key laboratories, 1 national engineering center, 1 national experimental teaching demonstration center, 3 military key laboratories and other teaching and research platforms.
